Candidates who wish to learn about designing aircraft, missiles, spacecraft and also weapon systems can go for Aerospace Engineering. Courses are offered at the UG, PG, Diploma, Certificate and Doctorate levels. This course is focused on theoretical as well as practical subjects with core and elective subjects which help candidates understand the concepts of Aerospace Engineering courses. Candidates should know that syllabus and the curriculum can be different according to the course levels. Course duration can be from 6 months to 3 years but then again it depends on the course level.

Aerospace Engineering Eligibility 

Candidates should know that eligibility can be different according to the courses. This is why they should check it. Failure to fulfill the eligibility can lead to cancellation of candidature.

Eligibility Criteria
B Tech Aerospace Engineering
  • Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects with at least 60% aggregate.
  • Excellent scores in entrance exams like JEE Main, JEE Advanced, or state-level engineering entrance exams.
M Tech in Aerospace Engineering
  • BTech/BE in Aerospace Engineering or a related field with a minimum of 55% aggregate.
  • Qualifying a national-level entrance exam like GATE is often required.
Diploma in Aerospace Engineering
Class 10 with Science and Mathematics subjects. Minimum aggregate of 50% (may vary by institute).
Aerospace Engineering Certificate
Class 12 with at least 50 to 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects.
PhD in Aerospace Engineering
  • MTech in Aerospace Engineering or a related field with a good academic record.
  • Qualifying a national-level entrance exam or selection through a research proposal is common.
