JEE Main 2020 exam for April session has been postponed amid Coronavirus outbreak. National Testing Agency will announce the new JEE Main exam dates after the last week of May 2020.

HRD Minister of India has directed NTA to postpone the JEE Main 2020 exam for April session till the last week of May 2020 amid coronavirus outbreak. Now that students have more time they must stay home, be safe and continue with their preparation. Read article to know more.

In a latest tweet by HRD Minister of India, Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal on March 28, he has directed National Testing Agency (NTA) to postpone the JEE Main 2020 exam for April Session until the last week of May 2020.

Earlier, the JEE Main exam was scheduled to be held from April 05 to 11, 2020. According to the Ministry of Human Resource and Development (MHRD), JEE Main April 2020 has been postponed due to the Coronavirus outbreak in the country, and the fresh schedule for the entrance exam will be notified on May 31, 2020.

MHRD suggested there is nothing more important than the health of students and teachers and at the same time conducting exams amid Coronavirus outbreak situation is a huge risk. This notification came after the MHRD has also asked CBSE board to postpone the class 12th examinations and the revised schedule for the same will be announced after March 31. JEE Main Exam Postponed – The complete story

As the exam of JEE Mains has been postponed due to the Covid-19 virus outbreak, we request all the students to stop going to the coaching Institute for attending the class. Consider your health in the first place and avoid going out and follow the self-isolation for few days till the situation gets normal. Staying at home in the current situation is the safest option and try to attend the classes online.

Now that the virus is spreading rapidly, then we must understand the complexity of the environment. To do this, we need a strategy. Below are some examples.

  • Avoid going out at public places
  • Stay at home and be with your family
  • Do not avoid or ignore any symptoms of the cold
  • Try to do self-study at home

JEE Main Exam Postponed – What’s next?

Now that the exam has been postponed then what's next in the plate? The answer is obvious, students need to continue preparing for the JEE Main Entrance Test. We advise all the JEE Main aspirants to stay safe and do not panic about the current ongoing situation in the country as this will make them nervous and stressful at the same time. Everything going on in the country will turn out normal in a few days and there will be no harm to the students’ career.

Many coaching institutes raised concern about students not attending the coaching classes which a cause of concern for them. This is why some of them have started providing online classes to the JEE Main aspirants. If you are preparing for JEE Main and not going to the classes due to coronavirus situation, read the important points below.

  • Candidates should not miss any live sessions by the experts
  • Though students have the access to these video online and watch the video later but attending a live class will have the expert to answer your on the spot queries
  • Taking online classes is fun and they are engaging if taken with concentration. Try not to distract yourself in between the class and be attentive
  • Ask questions and raise queries as this is the only way
  • Prepare a note in advance and clear the doubts in between the session

JEE Main Exam Postponed – Challenges students might face

Now that JEE Main exam and 12th boards have been postponed, the candidates might face some challenges. Have a look at some of them:

  • JEE Main aspirants might need a different and a better strategy for preparation
  • Candidates are required to change their study schedule
  • Make changes in your previous time-table as there is a time difference in the examination
  • Now prepare a topic revision schedule and add extra ten preparation days to it
  • Some students will have different thoughts in their mind regarding the exceeded time limit, so try not to become overconfident on that
  • Rather than celebrating about it try utilising the increased time frame

JEE Main April 2020 exam was previously scheduled to be conducted from April 05 to 11 and the release of JEE Main 2020 has been postponed too. The exam authorities will now send the fresh notification for both the events after May 31, 2020, observing the further situation.

Candidates wishing to take admission in BTech at Ramaiah Institute of Science and Management have to appear in JEE Main, JEE Advanced, CUET-UG, SAT, KCET, COMEDK. So, yes even if you have not appeared in JEE, you can produce score card of any of the above mentioned exams.

The East Point Group of Institutions accepts many exams for the BE course. The accepted exams are JEE Main, COMEDK, and KCET. Students can appear in any of these exams to get admission at EPGI. Students need to fulfil the eligibility criteria as well.

With 57.8 percentile in JEE Main and 73% boards, getting CSE/AI in top government colleges is unlikely. But you still have good chances in private colleges through UPTAC/AKTU or direct admission.

Yes. The syllabus overlaps heavily, and JEE preparation often covers TS EAMCET topics. Just add state-specific mock tests for better speed and familiarity.
