Using the JEE Main 2023 answer key, the candidates will be able to calculate their probable secured scores in the examination. However, the calculated scores will be indicative in nature. The official JEE Main answer key 2023 date is yet to be announced.

Q:   How many questions are asked in JEE Main exam?
A:

Paper 1 has 75 questions where Physics Chemistry and Mathematics, each section has 25 questions. Out of 25 questions, 20 are MCQs and five are numerical value questions. You must answer all 5 numerical value-type questions. All 20 multiple-choice questions are compulsory. Complete all 75 questions in 3 hours.

Q:   Do I need to attempt all the questions in JEE Main exam?
A:

NO, it is compulsory to attempt all questions in the JEE Main exam. The JEE Main exam has negative marking and candidates must answer only those questions for which they know the correct answer. Students must note that there are no minimum marks in JEE Main that students need to score. Students gets All India Rank based on the marks they secure in exam and gets admission based on that rank.

Q:   What type of questions are asked in JEE Main?
A:

There are two question types in JEE Main exam. Multiple choice questions and numerical ability questions. In MCQ, every question has 4 options with only 1 correct answer. Select the correct option. In numerical ability question type, no options are there. Solve them and write answer using keyword and mouse.

How to use JEE Main 2023 answer key to calculate probable secured scores?

Candidates can follow the given steps to calculate their probable secured scores using the answer key of JEE Main 2023.

  • Download the JEE Main 2023 answer key
  • Candidates will have to compare their responses to the correct answers
  • The official marking scheme has to be followed.
  • The total will be the probable scores secured in the exam.

JEE Main 2023 Cutoff

The required minimum marks for the candidates to be eligible for JEE Advanced will be released through the JEE Main 2023 cutoff. While preparing the cutoff, the authorities will check various factors related to the entrance examination. Only the top 2.5 lakh JEE Main candidates will be eligible for JEE Advanced.

JEE Main 2023 Result

The authorities are yet to announce the JEE Main 2023 result date. The official JEE Main result 2023 link will be available online. Candidates will be able to check their obtained scores and All India Rank through the result. Only qualified candidates will be eligible for admission through JoSAA.

Q:   Upto which year should I solve previous year question papers for JEE?
A:

It is advised that students should solve at least previous 10 year question papers of JEE Main. However, the exam pattern as well as difficulty level of JEE Mains has underwent a lot of changes during the last 10 years but still solving previous year JEE Main question papers from last 10 years will definitely help in scoring the good marks in the exam. As new type of questions (Questions with Numerical Value Answer) were intrduced recently, students are advised to practice solving these type of questions to help solve it during the actual exam.

Q:   What is Chapterwise weightage of class 11 and 12 topics in JEE Main?
A:

Chapterwise weightage of class 11 and 12 topics in JEE Main are mentioned below:

  • Physics: Current Electricity Waves AC, Magnetism, Laws of Motion Work, Power and Energy.
  • Chemistry the high weightage topics are s and p block elements, Coordination compounds, Thermodynamics Gaseous state, Chemical bonding, Atomic structure, Polymers, Environmental Chemistry Organic Chemistry.
  • Mathematics, the high weightage topics are Sequence and Series Vectors and 3D, Integral and Differential Calculus, Definite and Indefinite Integral.
