JEE Main 2026 registration session 2 Live: NTA will start JEE Mains 2026 session 2 registration anytime soon. The official website to apply is jeemain.nta.nic.in. Candidates who want to apply can check the session 2 exam date, how to apply, form fill-up date, question paper answer key, and important information regarding JEE Main application form 2026. JEE Mains 2026 Session 2 Registration Link

JEE Mains 2026 session 2 registration start date will be soon be announced by NTA. The official website to apply for JEE Main Jan 2026 session 2 exam is jeemain.nta.nic.in. Students who want to apply for JEE Mains April session must check their eligibility first and keep necessary documents and details ready. Session 1 applicants can also register for session 2. 

NTA will hold JEE Mains session 2 exam from April 2 to 9 in two shifts. Students appearing for JEE Main April attempt, can use memory-based JEE Mains 2026 question papers for their preparation.

What’s New in JEE Mains 2026 Application Process?

This year, NTA has made some changes in the JEE Main 2026 application form process-

Aadhar e-KYC

In this process, the basic details of candidates, such as date of birth, name, photo, and gender will be verified through e-KYC system of Aadhar database. Therefore, candidates are advised to keep all their details updated. Incase, there is any mismatch, they will be notified to update their details. For updation, candidates can visit their nearest Aadhar centre. 

Live Photo Capture

A live photo of candidate will be captured using webcam of laptop or computer screen while filling JEE Main application form 2026. Incase, the live capture facility is not available in their system, then he/she can upload their live photo using QR code that will be available at the time of filling the application form. In addition, candidates will have to upload their scanned photo during registration. 

Documents to keep ready before JEE Main 2026 Registration Session 2 Start Date

Students applying for NTA JEE Main April 2026 session, must keep their ID proof and photograph ready. The following documents are required for JEE Main 2026 registration

  • Valid and active mobile number and email ID
  • Class 10 marksheet or certificate
  • Aadhar card
  • Scanned photo and signature (according to NTA guidelines)
  • OBC-NCL/EWS category certificate
  • PwD/PwBD certificate
  • Details of netbanking/credit or debit card. 

How to fill JEE Main Application Form 2026?

Candidates have to fill the application form online only. Once the JEE Mains 2026 Session 2 registration link is activated, candidates can follow the steps mentioned below and apply accordingly -

  • Visit the official website - jeemain.nta.nic.in
  • Click on the registration link available on the homepage or in this page.
  • Fill in details and create password of your choice.
  • Submit details. Once the registration is complete, candidates will receive an application number on their registered mobile number. 
  • Now login using the credentials and fill rest of the details, such as personal details, educational qualification, paper you want to apply, exam cities of your choice, and upload documents.
  • Pay JEE Main application fee using any payment mode and submit form.

Once the application form is submitted, students can check their application status at JEE Main Login 2026. After the registration process, NTA will open the correction window in the last week of February. Candidates who want to make changes to their form can access JEE Mains 2026 correction window within the given deadline.

    Can I fill Another Application Form In Case of Mistakes in the First Form

    Candidates can fill only one application form. If any candidate fills multiple application forms, NTA can cancel the forms and his/her candidature will be rejected. It is thus strongly advised to fill only one JEE Main application form.

    JEE Main 2026 Registration Session 2 Live: How to recover password?

    Candidates can retrieve their JEE Mains password, following the steps below -

    • Go to jeemain.nta.nic.in and select registered candidate login
    • Click on the Forgot Password link
    • Fill your application number and date of birth.
    • There will be three options available to reset password, which are
      • Using security question and its answer candidates provided while filling the form
      • Using a verification code sent on candidates registered mobile number
      • Using a reset link sent via email to the registered email ID
    • Select your preferred mode and proceed to reset password.

    Who can apply for JEE Main April 2026 Exam?

    Candidates can check eligibility criteria for JEE Main 2026 registration session 2 below -

    • Must have passed class 12 in 2024 or 2025 or must be appearing in 2026.
    • There is no age-limit for JEE Main 2026 registration
    • There is no minimum qualifying percentage to apply for JEE Mains 2026.
    • For Paper 1 (BE/BTech), candidates must have Physics and Maths in Class 12 and any other subject from Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Technical vocational subject.
    • For Paper 2A (BArch), candidates must have Physics, Chemistry, and Maths in Class 12.
    • For Paper 2B (BPlan), candidates must have Maths in Class 12
  • Q:   Can I fill JEE Main application form 2026 offline?
    A:

    No, JEE Main application form can only be filled online. The application form of JEE Main is released only in online mode on the website jeemain.nta.ac.in. There is no option of filling the application form in offline mode. Candidates who do not have a laptop/personal computer can visit the computer centre/common service centres to fill the application form. While filling the JEE Main 2026 application form, candidates will also have to upload scanned image of their photo and signature. Candidates belonging to reserved category (Gen-EWS/SC/ST/OBC-NCL) also need to upload the category certificate.

    Q:   I have mistakenly filled the wrong category in my JEE Main application form. Will my form be rejected?
    A:

    Candidates who mistakenly fill any details wrong can modify/correct the details during JEE Main application correction facility. NTA allows the candidate to make corrections after the last date of application process. To make corrections, candidates need to login on the JEE Main official website during the specified dates and  modify the details. In case candidate has entered wrong category, he/she may need to apy the application fee as per the new category. Other details like photo, signature, exam centre preference, paper choice, address can also be changed during the correction window.   

    Q:   What is the modes for payment of JEE Main 2026 application fee?
    A:

    Candidates can pay JEE Main application fees using any one of the following method

    • Credit/debit card of any nationalised bank
    • Internet banking
    • UPI
    • Paytm

    Before paying the application fee, candidates should check whether there is requisite balance in the Bank Account / Wallet/Debit/credit card. In case any candidate faces difficulty in the payment of application fees, they can contact NTA helpline number.

    How to capture a live photograph for JEE Mains 2026 Registration?

    To capture a live photograph in JEE Main 2026, candidates have to follow the process below -

    • Candidates must switch on their camera or connect their webcam to the device used for filling JEE Main application form 2026.
    • If the device does not support a webcam, then QR code on the right can be scanned by the candidate using a mobile or tablet. 

    NOTE: The background must light-coloured with proper lightning and 80% face visibility.
