How to Use JEE Main JEE Main Answer Key to Calculate Score?

To calculate scores using the JEE main answer key, candidates can use the steps below:

  • Download the answer key of JEE Main 2022.
  • Now crosscheck the answers in the key with that of the responses submitted by you in the exam.
  • If the answer matches then add 4 marks. If not then deduct 1 marks.
  • Follow the process and calculate the total score.

Or simply put the number of correct answers and the number of incorrect answers in the formula below:

JEE Main 2022 raw score = 4 X number of correct answers - 1 X number of wrong answers

Note, that the scores that are fetched after using the answer key are the raw score. NTA will convert the raw score to percentile scores for the All India Rank, cutoff and final marks.

As a result of Ayer AKTU's decision to discontinue the UPSEE examinations, colleges now only recognise the JEE Mains score for enrollment into AKTU-affiliated institutions.
You see, in order to qualify for a CSE branch seat at IET Lucknow, you must have a respectable percentile score. Additionally, to be on the safe side, the percentile should fall between 94 and 97.

Getting into IIT is most certainly not impossible. It is necessary to fall into a category where you are married, have a decent ranking, and meet the quota requirements for OBC NCL students at various IITs. Utilize the time you have left before the exam to review your weak areas and attempt to give a mock exam so you can determine which areas you need to focus on improving in order to perform better.
