JEE Main Provisional Answer Key Response Sheet OUT: NTA JEE Main 2026 answer key and response sheet was made available on the official website - jeemain.nta.nic.in. Candidates who appeared JEE Main January 2026 session on the scheduled date had to download and challenge the answer key till Feb 6. JEE Main Provisional Answer Key Session 1

The National Testing Agency has closed the challenge facility against provisional answer key. The last date to challenge the answer key was Feb 6. JEE Main final answer key 2026 will be delcared along with result. The JEE Mains 2026 answer key release date and result date can be checked below. JEE Main 2026 was conducted on January 21, 22, 23, 24, 28, and 29 for session 1.

JEE Mains Result 2026 New Date

NTA will announce JEE Main result 2026 has been revised, and will be announced on February 16. The result link will be activated on the official website - jeemain.nta.nic.in. Candidates who had appeared session 1 exam can check their scores at candidate login using their application number and date of birth. Along with result, NTA will also announce JEE Main toppers list

Students can also use JEE Main rank predictor and JEE Main college predictor to check their admission chances. 

Students must note that there is no minimum qualifying mark to pass JEE Mains. However, the cutoff of JEE Advanced and AIR will be declared along with session 2.

NTA has released the JEE Main Answer key 2026. The link to check JEE Main answer key 2026 is available on the website jeemain.nta.nic.in. Candidates can download JEE Main answer key response sheet by login to the website. Candidates have to use JEE Main login available at he website for JEE Main answer key download.

Q:   There is a difference in the answers I marked in the exam and what is shown in JEE Main response sheet. What should I do?
A: 

Candidates must know that the JEE Main response sheet will have the record of the answers marked by the candidate in the exam. If any candidate thinks that the answers marked by him in actual exam and the one shown in JEE Main response sheet are different, the answers marked in response sheet will be final. Candidates can not challenge the JEE Main response sheet.

Q:   Where can I find the JEE Main answer key link?
A: 

Candidates can find the link for JEE Main answer key download on the official webste jeemain.nta.nic.in. NTA will activate the JEE Main answer key download link on the website a few days after the conclusion of the exam. NTA also publishes the notification for the release of answer key on the official website. Once released, candidates can login to the wesbite using their application number and password/date of birth and download the answer key.

Q:   How much is the fees for raising objections in JEE Main answer key?
A: 

Candidates will be able to raise objections against the provisional JEE Main answer key online. For every objection, the candidates will have to pay INR 200. The fee payment has to be done online i.e., through credit card/debit card/net banking. If the candidates do not pay the required fee then their objections will not be accepted. Along with the fee, the candidates will also have to submit the supporting proof for the objections. 

Q:   How would I know if my challenge in JEE Mains answer key has been accepted?
A: 

In case the JEE Main answer key challenge raised by the candidate is accepted, the NTA will send an email to the registered email address mentioning the details of question for which the objections has been accepted. The NTA will also send the details of correct answer for the questions.

Q:   What is the fee for objecting to the answer key of JEE Mains?
A: 

Objections raising fee in JEE Main answer key is INR 200 per question. You can pay it online using internet banking or credit/debit card. The exact fees to be paid depends on total questions selected for grievance.

How to challenge JEE Main Provisional Answer Key 2026 Session 1?

If a candidate is not satisfied with the response provided by the authorities, then he/she can challenge the provisional answer key of JEE Main 2026 session 1. Doing this will lead to fairness in result announcement. 

The steps to challenge answer key can be checked below -

  • Go to official website
  • Click on challenge answer key 
  • Login using application number, date of birth, and security pin.
  • Question IDs will be displayed in sequential order
  • Next to ID will have the correct option. 
  • If you wish to challenge, then use any one or more of the option IDs
  • Upload supporting documents 
  • Save you claim and pay fee of INR 200 non-refundable.
  • Select accepted payment mode and submit

JEE Main Provisional Answer Key 2026: Important Points

  • The NTA will release provisional answer key of JEE along with JEE Main response sheet 2026 at jeemain.nta.nic.in
  • The authorities provides facility to challenge the answer key. Candidates can object answer key by paying a fee of INR 200 (non-refundable) per question.
  • The provisional answer key will be made available for two to three days.
  • Only paid challenges (within the given deadline) will be considered. 
  • Students who want to challenge JEE provisional answer key must provide proper justification and evidence for the question.
  • After the submission, the subject experts will examine all challenges received and based on that final answer key will be displayed on the website.
  • The JEE Main 2026 session 1 result will be based on the final answer key. No changes or request will be made after result declaration.
