Here are some basic tips to help you score better in your JEE Advance exam in last one-month preparation.
JEE, Advance, as we all, is one of the most important as well as the toughest exam in India to get the admission to an engineering college. So, for those planning to appear for the exam, need to understand that clearing this exam is not going to be a cakewalk, you have to spend good time in your studies and have to use the guidance fully to crack this one.
So here are some basic tips to score better in your JEE Advance exam in last one-month preparation:
Time is precious
Time management is the most important point to crack this exam as well as to perform better in any other activity in your life. I know in this age, you have a lot of things to do instead of study, which really distract your mind. However, ask yourself… Do I really need this? Is this more important than my career? Prioritise your things accordingly and manage your time. I am not saying that you have to study for almost 12 hours, but at least you should spend your time as much as you can in studies. Some need 12 hours to crack this exam while some can do it in 4-5 hours a day.

Keep your focus
Your focus and passion play a major role in anything you do in your life. In order to clear this exam, you have to be focused and passionate towards your studies because if you do not have that wanting to clear this one then you will not be able to devote your time in the preparation that you can.
Follow a study plan
To be honest, you have to study a lot to crack JEE Advanced because the level of this one is surely going to be high, so, you have to be ready for it.
Therefore, in the last month, I will not recommend you to start covering new topics because it will create confusion and will waste your time, instead of it you have to spend more time in your revision. Your personal handmade notes will be the best material for revision. You should cover all the topics that you already studied.
Have the right study material
- For Physics, you could use NCERT questions and H C VERMA and D C Pandey books to get the concept clear
- For Maths, a mix of NCERT and M L Khanna books is helpful
- In Chemistry, O P Tandon should be your first choice. You can also study NCERT
You should check some previous years’ questions papers of JEE Advanced because they will surely give you the essence of exam level and pattern.

You will not be eligible for admission as preparatory ranks are not considered under round 1. Since you have already qualified to appear for JEE (Advanced), all you need to do is meet the second criterion and apply for round 2, which will be only conducted if seats from round 1 remain vacant.

Yes, you can still get admission in Round 2 if you meet eligibility criteria to appear in JEE (Advanced) and have a valid JEE (Mains) rank. Also, you must have scored 60% or above in class 12th. For SC/ST/PwD category students, 55% or above is required.
