JKCET 2026 Exam Date
Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE) announces the JKCET 2026 exam date. The exam has 3 sections comprising Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with 180 questions (60 questions from each section) with a time duration of 3.00 hours. The questions are multiple choice objective types with 1 mark each. There is a 0.25 negative mark for each wrong answer.

The JKCET counselling schedule is announced after the JKCET result is announced. The candidates who qualify in JKCET can submit the online/offline preference forms for JKCET counselling. The online/offline preference form enables a candidate to fill in the preferences for various disciplines/institutions for allotment of seats for admission in BE/BTech Engineering courses in the government and private colleges of the UT of J&K/Ladakh. JKCET counselling will have 2 rounds and one mop-up round. A final, special counselling round can be held if needed.

In case JKCET is not held, the merit list shall be prepared on the basis of aggregate marks obtained in the qualifying examination (12th class). The candidates who are declared qualified in the JKCET exam, have to then appear in the online counselling process.
JKCET 2026 result will be announced in April 2026. After the result is released, the JKCET merit list will be prepared on the inter-se merit acquired by students in the exam (in descending order for Open Merit Category and for each Reserved Category, separately).
