GATE 2026 Application Form: IIT Guwahati has closed the GATE correction facility and registration process. The correction window for defect rectification in application forms is open from March 10 to 15, 2026. Candidates whose application form has defects can login to GOAPS portal and make the required corrections. The GATE correction facility is available at GOAPS portal. The GATE correction window is currently open only for those candidates whose application form has defects. Candidates can make changes up to March 12 by login to GOAPS portal. SCRIBE SPECIFICATIONS:

The scribe must not be a candidate for the GATE examination.
The educational qualification of the scribe must be less than the minimum eligibility criteria of GATE exam.
A panel of (Y+1) scribes for Y candidates will be available at the exam centre so that candidates can choose an alternative scribe for the services.
Candidates with scribes will be given an extra 1 hour of compensatory time if their writing capabilities are limited.
