IIITH UGEE 2026: Result (OUT), Interview (June), Exam Date, Admit Card, Syllabus, Question Paper

The IIITH UGEE (Undergraduate Entrance Examination) is an entrance exam organised by IIIT Hyderabad every year. The objective is to shortlist candidates for admission into its five-year dual degree programmes (B.Tech + MS by Research). UGEE prioritizes conceptual understanding and research aptitude. The courses are offered under the following specialisation. Based on candidates performance in the exam, merit rank and counselling, they will be offered the courses in the below specialisations - 

• Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECD)
• Computer Science and Engineering (CSD)
• Computer Science (CSD)
• Computational Linguistics (CLD)
• Computational Natural Sciences (CND), and Computing and Human Sciences (CHD)

Apart from UGEE, IIIT Hyderabad also offers admission to B.Tech programmes through JEE Main, NK/ NTSE or KVPY, Olympiad, Direct Admissions for Students Abroad (DASA) and Special Channel of Admission (SPEC). Students qualified in the entrance examination must appear for an interview, after which they will be offered admission.

Students who have qualified the exam had to appear for interview process which. The interviews were conducted by IIIT Hyderabad from June 4 to 7 to shortlist students for admission. The decision on final offer of admission is solely based on interview performance.

IIITH UGEE registration 2026 is closed now. The last date to apply was April 5, 2026. While filling the online application form, candidates had to register by filling out their details wherever asked and pay the required fee. Payment of fee had to be done only through debit card/credit card/net banking.

IIITH UGEE 2026 Eligibility Criteria

IIIT Hyderabad offers admission to five dual degree courses (B Tech + Master of Science by Research) in the institute. Students have to qualify the entrance exam to appear in the seat allotment process. To appear in IIITH UGEE 2026, Students have to pass Class 12 or equivalent qualifying Examination with an aggregate of 60% marks in Maths, Physics and Chemistry. Shortlisted Students have to accept their seats and pay the fees within the given timeline. Students who will fulfil the eligibility criteria of IIITH UGEE 2026 have to produce their documents and report to the institute.

The IIITH UGEE hall ticket has been issued to all the candidates who had submitted the application form before last date of registration. To download the admit card, candidate will have to log in using the required credentials to download the admit card. Details regarding the exam date, timings, venue, guidelines and more are released through the admit card. While reporting to the exam centre, students must carry their hall ticket along with one valid photo identity proof such as aadhar card, voter ID card, PAN card or driving license.

The authorities prepare the IIITH UGEE syllabus 2026 which will consist of the subjects and topics that have to be studied for the examination. Students can prepare for the exam by knowing topics on which the question paper will be based. The syllabus consists of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

Students can check IIITH UGEE exam pattern 2026 to know different aspects of how the test will be conducted. The pattern consists of the details such as exam mode, time duration, medium of the exam, type of questions asked in the exam, marking scheme etc. As per the exam pattern of IIITH UGEE, the test consists of two computer-based sections: 

1. SUPR (Subject Proficiency Test): A 60-minute section testing core Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) fundamentals based on the Class 11 and 12 syllabus.
2. REAP (Research Aptitude Test): A 120-minute section that evaluates critical thinking, logical reasoning, and analytical problem-solving. 

Candidates are first filtered by their SUPR scores and then ranked based on REAP performance for shortlisting. The final admission is determined by an on-campus interview, which assesses intellectual maturity and a research-oriented mindset.
