IBSAT 2026 registrations will commence on July 01, 2026. Candidates can apply online for IBSAT 2026 at ibsindia.org. Candidates seeking admission to MBA or PGPM programmes offered at 9 IBS campuses- Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bangalore, Gurgaon, Pune, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, and Dehradun must make sure to complete the IBSAT registration process. Admission to IBS is conducted through IBSAT, CAT, XAT, NMAT by GMAC and GMAT scores. Candidates can apply through any of the scores mentioned. IBSAT 2026 exam will be held in last week of December 2026 in remote proctored mode. Only registered candidates will be able to book the exam slot and download the admit card when released.

What is IBSAT?

IBS Aptitude Test or IBSAT is a national-level entrance exam conducted by IBS Hyderabad for admission to MBA/PGPM programs.  IBSAT scores are accepted by nine ICFAI Business Schools (IBS), namely IBS Hyderabad, IBS Mumbai, IBS Bengaluru, IBS Pune, IBS Gurgaon, IBS Kolkata, IBS Ahmedabad, IBS Jaipur, and IBS Dehradun. IBSAT is a two-hour Computer-based test (CBT) comprising multiple-choice questions. IBSAT is a computer-based test that is generally conducted over a window of two days in December. Qualified candidates will have to first attend a selection briefing round and then appear for the final selection rounds, including Micro Presentation and Personal Interview (PI) rounds.

The difficulty level of IBSAT is moderate to easy. IBSAT exam is easy in comparison to other MBA entrance examinations such as CAT, MAT, or CMAT. IBSAT question paper consists of total 140 questions across four sections. Each question carries one marks with no negative marking. IBSAT Data Interpretation can be time consuming. IBSAT 2026 registration will commence in first week of July 2026 at ibsindia.org. Students must complete the registration process before deadline. Before filling the IBSAT application form, candidates must fulfill the below eligibility criteria and follow the steps to fill the application form.  

IBSAT Eligibility Criteria 2026

 Candidates will be required to fulfill the following eligibility criteria to apply for the IBSAT 2026 exam: 

  • Candidates should have a bachelor's degree or equivalent in any discipline with a minimum 50 per cent in aggregate 
  • Candidates not meeting the eligibility criteria of English medium in graduation need to submit the TOEFL/ NELT/ IELTS score 
  • Applicants in their final year of graduation are also eligible to apply  
  • Candidates with a score of GMAT, CAT and NMAT by GMAC need not appear for IBSAT and can apply for direct admission

IBSAT Exam Pattern 2025

IBS will release the IBSAT exam pattern along with release of official notification. As per the latest IBSAT 2026 exam pattern, the exam will be held in remote proctored mode. IBSAT 2026 cutoff will be updated after declaration of results. Candidates meeting the IBSAT cutoff 2026 are shortlisted for the Micro presentation and personal interview rounds based on which final admissions will be granted to the students. IBSAT 2026 Selection Process

IBSAT 2026 selection rounds will be held at IBS Hyderabad for shortlisted candidates in February 2027. Candidates must report at the allotted centre on given date and time. The IBSAT selection process includes a Micro Presentation and Personal Interview rounds. IBSAT 2026 selection process results will be announced at ibsindia.org. ICFAI Business School conducts these rounds for admission to its nine campuses. Candidates with valid scores from IBSAT 2026 or other recognised exams (CAT, MAT, XAT, SNAP, NMAT, GMAT, MAH CET, or state-level exams from 2024 onwards) can participate.

IBSAT selection rounds will consist of two rounds- micro presentation and personal interview rounds. The final selection will be based on candidate's performance in past academics and selection rounds. Candidates must ensure to report at alloted exam centre on given date and time.

Q:   How is IBSAT final merit list prepared?

IBSAT final merit list is prepared on considering the following parameters- Micro Presentation, Personal Interview and past academic records and weightage. Check below to know the criterias:

  • Micro presentation: 25%
  • Personal Interview: 25%
  • Past academic record: 50%

Only candidates who will qualify the above criterias, will be offered final admission to MBA/PGDM programme of applied IBS campuses. IBSAT 2025 selection process result will be announced tentatively in April 2026.

Q:   Is IBSAT compulsory for IBS Hyderabad?
A: 

IBSAT or IBS Aptitude Test is a national-level entrance exam conducted by ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education (deemed to be University) for admission to MBA programme. However, it is not compulsory to appear for IBSAT. Candidates who have appeared for CAT/ NMAT/ GMAT/ XAT and scored well can also get admission to IBS Hyderabad MBA programme. 

IBSAT is a two-hour Computer-based test (CBT) comprising multiple-choice questions. IBSAT is a computer-based test that is generally conducted over a window of two days in December.

IBSAT 2026 admit card will be released tentatively in October 2026. Registered candidates will be able to download the IBSAT admit card online.
