IIT Kanpur started the online application form of GATE 2023 on August 30, 2022 which will end on September 30, 2022 without late fee and on October 7, 2022 with a late fee amount of INR 500. An all-India examination, GATE is conducted for admission to the ME/MTech programme of IITs, NITs and various other institutes in India. Apart from that, GATE scorecard is also considered by the PSUs for the recruitment of suitable candidates for the different job roles. So, the scorecard holds a lot of importance for a candidate who holds an undergraduate degree in technical education. GATE 2023 is jointly conducted by the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore (IISc) and seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras and IIT Roorkee). Yes, applicants who have qualified GATE exam are also eligible for WBUT PGET. Candidates must have a valid GATE scorecard. However, students have to appear for a personal interview round. Students must mention their GATE scorecard in the application form.

GATE 2027 is expected to be conducted by IIT Madras for all 30 branch papers. Official announcement will be made soon.

The GATE exam is conducted once a year. The entrance test takes place on multiple dates and shifts for 30 test papers. For 2026, IIT Guwahati is conducting the exam on February 7, 8, 14, and 15.
