JEE Main 2017 results got declared on April 27 on the official website by CBSE. This year, the scores and ranks were declared together contrary to previous years where scores were released first. JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) Main ranks were typically released in the month of June. This was because from 2017 Class XII marks will not be required for JEE Main & Advanced rank determination.
JEE Main 2017 was conducted on April 2 in offline (pen and paper) mode and in online (computer based) mode on April 8 and 9. The registrations for the exam commenced in December and concluded in January 2017. The official answer keys of JEE Main were made available from April 18 to 22. For 2017, as many as 11,98,989 engineering aspirants registered for the exam. The number of candidates registering for JEE Main dipped by 1% in 2017 as compared to 2016. The cut-off scores to appear for JEE Advanced 2017 witnessed a significant dip this year; surprising experts and students alike. The cut-off to appear for JEE Advanced 2017 is 81 for general category students while the cut-off for OBC-NCL, SC, ST and PwD students is 49, 32, 27 and 1 respectively. According to experts, the cut-offs were lowered to accommodate the 20,000 additional students who will qualify for JEE Advanced 2017.

Kalpit Veerwal from Udaipur topped JEE Main 2017 by bagging an AIR 1. He was followed by Vasu Jain from Delhi at the second position (AIR 2) and Ananay Agarwal at the third spot (AIR 3). Vrunda Rathi from Nashik emerged as the topper amongst girls. While Poorva Garg and Narayana Jeevana Reddy were the second and third girl toppers respectively.

Yes. Students with valid JEE Main scores can apply for admissions through the WBJEE counselling. However, these students will be eligible for allotment only in the 10% approved seats offered by the self-financing colleges and institutes participating in the state-level counselling.

Yes the SRMJEEE paper pattern is similar to JEE Main however, the difficulty level is not equivalent to JEE main and the question paper is adjusted to moderate level difficulty level which will be easy for most students.
