SRMJEEE and MET are very popular engineering entrance exams taken by most students who appear in JEE Mains. As the dates are in a clash, students have to select any one exam to appear if the dates are not revised.
The National Testing Agency had recently rescheduled the JEE Main 2022 exam dates for the first session due to a clash with several state boards exams of class 12. JEE Main April exams which were earlier scheduled to be held from April 16 to 21 will now be conducted on 21, 24, 25, 29 April and 1, 4 May 2022. But, the new exam dates of JEE Main are in clash with several other engineering entrance exams including the popular ones like SRMJEEE and MET 2022. Also, the ISC class 12 board exam of English is in a clash with the new JEE Main 2022 exam date.

As the exam dates of JEE are in clash with MET and SRMJEEE 2022, the institutes are likely to reschedule these dates in order to allow students to appear in both exams. Manipal Institute of Technology Entrance Test (MET) and SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Examination (SRMJEEE) are very popular exams and are taken by most engineering aspirants. Also, the English language paper of ISC would also be changed considering the clash with JEE.
Students Demand Postponement of JEE Main 2022
Students fraternity has been constantly demanding the postponement of JEE Main until the class 12 board exams get over. “As we’ve only two attempts this year and JEE Main is sandwiched between class 12 board exams and JEE Main 2022, we can not focus on either exam. Our performance and preparation is at stake and NTA must make a decision on it soon, said Vignesh, JEE Main 2022 aspirant from Jhansi.”
Will JEE Main 2022 second attempt be postponed?
The first attempt of JEE Main 2022 will conclude on May 4 and the second attempt will begin on May 24. As there is only 20 days gap between the two attempts, there is a strong possibility that the second attempt will get postponed. It is likely that JEE Main 2022 second attempt will be held after the CBSE class 12 board exams end.

Yes. Students with valid JEE Main scores can apply for admissions through the WBJEE counselling. However, these students will be eligible for allotment only in the 10% approved seats offered by the self-financing colleges and institutes participating in the state-level counselling.

Yes the SRMJEEE paper pattern is similar to JEE Main however, the difficulty level is not equivalent to JEE main and the question paper is adjusted to moderate level difficulty level which will be easy for most students.
