VIT University declared VITEEE 2018 results on April 27. Initially, the results were to be declared on April 25 but was delayed by two days. While the first rank in VITEEE 2018 was secured by Delhi’s Kalash Gupta, the second and third rank was bagged by Sarikonda Ananda Ramarao from Telangana and Anirudh Panigrahi from Odhisha respectively. AIR (All India Rank) 4 in VITEEE 2018 has been secured by Sai Anirudh from Karnataka. A regular science student, Sai Anirudh has a keen interest in airplanes and is fond of listening to music and exercising. Talking to Shiksha about emerging as one of the VITEEE 2018 toppers, he said, “ I definitely didn't expect to be one of the toppers for the exam. I feel good. It is a confidence booster for me”. Sai’s next target is JEE Mains and JEE Advanced.

According to him, he didn’t specifically prepare for VITEEE. VITEEE 2018 prep got covered under his preparations for JEE. JEE Mains being held a few days before his slot for VITEEE 2018 was of great help. He also shared that to crack any exam, you mostly need to just practice questions till you are comfortable with the topic.
With an aspiration of cracking one of the top IITs (Indian Institutes of Technology) to pursue BTech, Sai Anirudh plans to study engineering for it looks like an interesting path to him. Besides VITEEE, this topper has also appeared for KCET and will be appearing for BITSAT as well.

Sharing his views on the need of coaching institutes to crack major engineering entrances, he said, “ I probably do not think that coaching classes are required. But it definitely makes things easier by compelling you to work more and motivating you”. He further shared that to crack competitive exams like these, one should believe that these exams is taken best without any expectations and tension. In VITEEE, It’s important to not make silly mistakes as it is an otherwise scoring paper.
When asked whether he gave up on social media to fully concentrate on JEE and VITEEE, Sai said, “People think leaving Facebook is the solution to becoming serious in studies. I am here to prove otherwise”.
VITEEE 2018 Counselling for candidates, who obtained ranks upto 8,000 would be held on May 9 and counseling for ranks 8001 to 14,000 would be held on May 10 while for those who secured ranks from 14001 to 20000 will be held on May 11. VITEEE 2018 counselling would be held simultaneously in Vellore, Chennai, Bhopal and Amaravati (AP). Check VITEEE 2018 important dates here.

The rank needed for admission at VIT Bhopal would depend on the category and chosen branch.
For the General AI category, the round 1 cutoff ranged from 50000 to 100000. Hence, the highest rank acceptable was 100000. Please know that other categories, rounds, etc., will have different cutoffs.

VIT Bhopal VITEEE cutoff 2026 was released for the first round for admission to the BTech course and its various specialisations.

VIT-AP University offers scholarships to students based on their VITEEE rank. Students with rank between 51 and 100 get 50% tuition fee waiver for all four-year. The rank should be 1-10 for 100% tuition fee waiver.
