IIM Supplementary Admission Process or SAP is an opportunity for CAP eligible candidates to make another attempt at seeking admission to the IIMs. Through IIM SAP, candidates can seek admission to IIM Jammu and IIM Bodh Gaya. Conducted after IIM CAP, the institutes shortlist those candidates for admission who could not be selected in CAP, due to lower CAT score. Earlier, IIM Sirmaur, too, used to be a part of the IIM SAP process, but it opted out.

IIM SAP form opens after the closure of IIM CAP applications. IIM SAP 2026 application window will open in February. Candidates will have the opportunity to book a slot for PI round till March. The exact dates of IIM SAP 2026 will be announced after IIM CAP 2026.

Q:   When will CAT take place for admission to IIM Bodh Gaya?
A: 

For admission to MBA (or PGP) at IIM Bodh Gaya, the CAT test is usually conducted in November. Aspirants of IIM Bodh Gaya are required to appear for the exam in Computer Based Testing mode at the allotted test centres. CAT exam is held in three slots:

Morning slot: 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM

Afternoon slot: 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM

Evening slot: 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM

Q:   What is the CAT exam cutoff required to get admission to IIM Bangalore?
A: 

The CAT cut offs for IIM Bangalore hovers between 97-100 percentile. The qualifying CAT cut off required for being eligible for IIM Bangalore's Written Ability test (What) and Personal Interview PI is 85 percentile for General category students, whereas for SC candidates, it is 70 percentile. For ST candidates, it is 65 percentile and for PwD candidates it is 60 percentile. Given below are the sectional and overall qualifying CAT cut offs for IIM Bangalore.

Q:   What is the difference between qualifying CAT cut off and final CAT cut off?
A: 
Qualifying CAT cut off percentiles of an IIM is the minimum percentile (sectional as well as overall) required by candidates to be eligible for the Written Ability Test (What) and Personal Interview PI round. These are only eligibility score and not the score for selection. The final CAT cut off percentiles are the scores on the basis of which a candidate is actually selected for the What-PI round. The qualifying CAT cut offs are released publically before the CAT exam and result as a part of selection criteria for the MBA/PGP batch of that year. The qualifying cut offs for CAT are release category wise - General, NC/OBC. General-EWS, SC/ST, PwD. The qualifying cut offs percentiles of General category candidate is higher than then rest. The final CAT cut offs are not released publically. The cut offs are estimate on the basis of candidate's selection for What-PI. The final CAT cut offs for General category candidate is also higher than then rest.

 IIM SAP 2026 Registration Process

The process to register for IIM SAP 2026 will be online. Candidates can fiill the IIM SAP 2026 form available at IIM Jammu and IIM Bodh Gaya websites.

  • Go to the link indicating IIIM SAP
  • Click on register for SAP 2026 option
  • Enter CAT ID and credentials
  • Fill the IIM SAP form with relevant details
  • Upload relevant documents and submit

Candidates had to book a slot for appearing in the WAT-PI round of IIM SAP 2026 through login only. Candidates could select a WAT-PI date, city and location, as per availability.

Q:   How can I get admission in IIM Jammu for MBA?
A: 

IIM Jammu MBA admissions are done on the basis of performance of candidate in CAT followed by a WAT/PI round. Apart from the entrance test and interview performance, IIM Jammu also considers the academic record and work experience of the candidate.

The admission process if IIM Jammu MBA begins with registering for CAT on its official website. The candidates are required to select IIM Jammu PGP during the application process.

Aspirants who meet the minimum CAT percentile are invited to appear for the WAT/ PI round. 

The final merit list is prepared considering the below mentioned components:

  • CAT percentile- 40% Weightage 
  • Personal Interview- 30% Weightage 
  • Profile - 30%

Under profile section following things are considered:

  • Academic profile: 10 marks (Class 10, Class 12, Graduation)
  • Work Experience: 10 marks

Given below is the list of documents that applicants had to upload with IIM SAP form. All documents were to be uploaded in .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .pdf format, size- maximum 1.5 MB.

  1. The Joining/appointment letter, the first two salary slips, the last two salary slips, and the relieving letter are required for all the past organizations/companies the applicant has worked with.
  2. The joining/appointment letter, the first two salary slips, and the last two salary slips are required for the current organizations/companies the applicant is working with.
  3. A bank account statement for the employment period is mandatory for candidates who have worked in the unorganized sector. The salary must be transferred from the firm’s bank account to the employee’s bank account.
  4. In case the candidate is a proprietor, partner, or director of a firm, the candidate must provide document proof such as the income tax return and other regulatory return filings for the relevant period and a certificate of registration for doing a business from the registrar of companies or municipal corporation (or other sector-specific licenses) and appropriate authorities such as MSME certificate issued by Govt. of India, Udyog Aadhar Registration Certificate, Partnership deed of the firm duly signed by all partners and GST registration certificate.
