IIM SAP or the Supplementary Admission Process is for IIM Bodh Gaya and IIM Jammu to provide MBA aspirants another opportunity to seek admission after IIM CAP. It is conducted based on CAT score after the result has been announced for the IIM CAP. Check here all about IIM SAP 2025.
IIM SAP
IIM Supplementary Admission Process or SAP is an opportunity for CAP eligible candidates to make another attempt at seeking admission to the IIMs. Through IIM SAP, candidates can seek admission to IIM Jammu and IIM Bodh Gaya. Conducted after IIM CAP, the institutes shortlist those candidates for admission who could not be selected in CAP, due to lower CAT score. Earlier, IIM Sirmaur, too, used to be a part of the IIM SAP process, but it opted out in 2025.
IIM SAP form opens after the closure of IIM CAP applications. IIM SAP 2025 application window opened on February 11 and closed on February 25, 2025. Slot booking window was open till March 9, 2025.

IIM SAP 2025 Registration Process
The process to register for IIM SAP 2025 was online. Candidates had to fill the IIM SAP 2025 form available at IIM Jammu and IIM Bodh Gaya websites.
- Go to https://ao.iimbg.ac.in/sap2025/
- Click on register for SAP 2025 option
- Enter CAT ID and credentials
- Fill the IIM SAP form with relevant details
- Upload relevant documents and submit
Candidates had to book a slot for appearing in the WAT-PI round of IIM SAP 2025 through login only. Candidates could select a WAT-PI date, city and location, as per availability.

IIM SAP 2025: Documents Required
Given below is the list of documents that applicants had to upload with IIM SAP form. All documents were to be uploaded in .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .pdf format, size- maximum 1.5 MB.
- Photograph and Signature (Upload the same photograph and signature as uploaded in the CAT Application Form)
- Photo Identity Card Document(only govt ID proof such as Aadhar, Voter ID, Driving Licence, and Passport)
- CAT 2024 scorecard (upload the pdf that you downloaded from the CAT website)
- 10th and 12th/Diploma (upload the mark sheet and certificate)
- Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree OR Marksheet
- Those who have completed graduation but not received their degree certificate must submit a provisional degree certificate.
- Those in the final year of graduation should upload the bonafide certificate obtained from the competent authority.
- Any other degree/certificate/marksheet - Master/Professional Qualification as mentioned in the CAT 2024 form.
- Category/PwD Certificate, if applicable
- Work Experience related documents.

- The Joining/appointment letter, the first two salary slips, the last two salary slips, and the relieving letter are required for all the past organizations/companies the applicant has worked with.
- The joining/appointment letter, the first two salary slips, and the last two salary slips are required for the current organizations/companies the applicant is working with.
- A bank account statement for the employment period is mandatory for candidates who have worked in the unorganized sector. The salary must be transferred from the firm’s bank account to the employee’s bank account.
- In case the candidate is a proprietor, partner, or director of a firm, the candidate must provide document proof such as the income tax return and other regulatory return filings for the relevant period and a certificate of registration for doing a business from the registrar of companies or municipal corporation (or other sector-specific licenses) and appropriate authorities such as MSME certificate issued by Govt. of India, Udyog Aadhar Registration Certificate, Partnership deed of the firm duly signed by all partners and GST registration certificate.

The CAT cut offs for IIM Bangalore hovers between 97-100 percentile. The qualifying CAT cut off required for being eligible for IIM Bangalore's Written Ability test (What) and Personal Interview PI is 85 percentile for General category students, whereas for SC candidates, it is 70 percentile. CAT cut-offs are not announced along with the CAT result. The cut-offs are also not released publicly. They are known after a few days of the result announcement when the IIMs and other colleges start their shortlisting process. The IIMs will open the shortlist window based on the CAT cut-offs two to three days after the result announcement. The CAT percentile of candidates shortlisted for the Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD), and Personal Interview (PI) can be considered the cut-off for that IIM. For example, if a candidate with a CAT percentile of 99 belonging to the General category is selected for the WAT/GD-PI of IIM Calcutta, then the CAT cut-off for IIM Calcutta is 99 percentile. Only those candidates who make it to the WAT/GD-PI round of IIMs will get to know the cut-offs.
Yes, it is possible to score 99.99 percentile in CAT in first attempt. Many candidates have scored 99.99 percentile in their first attempt in previously. But for that one needs to have a preparation strategy which is comprehensive and covers all the aspects of CAT. Apart from covering CAT syllabus through books and sample papers, one need constant guidance and study sessions with mentors and subject matter experts to develop deep understanding and capability to crack any type of question.
