IIM SAP

IIM Supplementary Admission Process or SAP is an opportunity for CAP eligible candidates to make another attempt at seeking admission to the IIMs. Through IIM SAP, candidates can seek admission to IIM Jammu and IIM Bodh Gaya. Conducted after IIM CAP, the institute shortlists those candidates for admission who could not be selected in CAP, due to a lower CAT score. Earlier, IIM Sirmaur, too, used to be a part of the IIM SAP process, but it opted out.

IIM SAP form opens after the closure of IIM CAP applications. IIM SAP 2026 application window is expected to open anytime soon. Candidates will have the opportunity to book a slot for PI round after the registration window opens. The exact dates of IIM SAP 2026 will be announced after IIM CAP 2026.

IIM SAP 2026: Documents Required

Given below is the list of documents that applicants had to upload with IIM SAP form. All documents were to be uploaded in .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .pdf format, size- maximum 1.5 MB.

• Photograph and Signature (Upload same photograph and signatures that were uploaded in the CAT Application Form)
• Photo Identity Card Document(only govt ID proof such as Aadhar, Voter ID, Driving Licence, and Passport)
• CAT 2025 scorecard (upload the pdf that you downloaded from the CAT website)
• 10th and 12th/Diploma (upload the mark sheet and certificate)
• Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree OR Marksheet
  • Those who have completed graduation but not received their degree certificate must submit a provisional degree certificate.
  • Those in the final year of graduation should upload the bonafide certificate obtained from the competent authority.
• Any other degree/certificate/marksheet - Master/Professional Qualification as mentioned in the CAT 2024 form.
• Category/PwD Certificate, if applicable
• Work Experience related documents.

Work Experience Related Documents

1. The Joining/appointment letter, the first two salary slips, the last two salary slips, and the relieving letter are required for all the past organizations/companies the applicant has worked with.
2. The joining/appointment letter, the first two salary slips, and the last two salary slips are required for the current organizations/companies the applicant is working with.
3. A bank account statement for the employment period is mandatory for candidates who have worked in the unorganized sector. The salary must be transferred from the firm’s bank account to the employee’s bank account.
4. In case the candidate is a proprietor, partner, or director of a firm, the candidate must provide document proof such as the income tax return and other regulatory return filings for the relevant period and a certificate of registration for doing a business from the registrar of companies or municipal corporation (or other sector-specific licenses) and appropriate authorities such as MSME certificate issued by Govt. of India, Udyog Aadhar Registration Certificate, Partnership deed of the firm duly signed by all partners and GST registration certificate.

IIM SAP 2026 Registration Process

The process to register for IIM SAP 2026 will be online. Candidates can fiill the IIM SAP 2026 form available at IIM Jammu and IIM Bodh Gaya websites.

• Go to the link indicating IIIM SAP
• Click on register for SAP 2026 option
• Enter CAT ID and credentials
• Fill the IIM SAP form with relevant details
• Upload relevant documents and submit

Candidates had to book a slot for appearing in the WAT-PI round of IIM SAP 2026 through login only. Candidates could select a WAT-PI date, city and location, as per availability.

IIM SAP Shortlisting Criteria and Process

Candidates are shortlisted for the IIM SAP admissions based on CAT exam results, i.e. scores and percentile. This is the sole criteria to take admission through IIM SAP. Candidates can compare IIM CAP cut off 2026 to assess their chances for admissions through IIM SAP. Each IIM will have separate cutoffs for all categories.

SAP usually has a lower cut off as compared to IIM CAP. The admission criteria only includes PI for SAP final selection.
