The National Testing Agency (NTA) activated the JEE Main 2026 official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in. The JEE Mains registration date 2026 is October 2025. Further, the public notice dates, September 29, act as an advisory for all candidates to get their documents updated. The JEE Main latest update is as follows:
- The official website for JEE Mains, which will be used for all communication purposes, is jeemain.nta.nic.in.
- The JEE Main 2026 registration date will fall in October, while the JEE Main 2026 exam date for session 1 is January and for session 2 is April.
- Authorities urged students to get their documents required for JEE Mains updated and renewed. All aspirants are advised to check their Aadhar Card details, Caste Certificate details and the UDID card. In case of any errors, candidates must get the documents corrected and renewed to successfully apply for the exam.
The national-level JEE Mains exam is held for B.E/B.Tech at admission to top colleges in India, including the NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. The top 2,50,000 rank holders are eligible for the JEE Advanced exam to secure admission to the prestigious IITs. The JEE Main admission process requires filling out the application form, downloading the admit card, appearing for the test and further participating in the various counselling processes. With the JEE Main registration 2026 scheduled in October 2025, NTA will now release the detailed JEE Mains 2026 exam notification for the syllabus, exam pattern, eligibility and more.
JEE Main 2026 Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must be Indian citizens. Foreign Nationals, NRIs, PIOs (Persons of Indian Origin), and OCIs (Overseas Citizens of India) can also apply.
- Candidates must have completed/ appearing in Class 12.
- There is No Age limit for appearing in the exam.
- No minimum marks required in Class 12 to appear in JEE Mains.
- Candidates can appear in JEE Mains for three consecutive years from the year of passing class 12.
