MCC has released the NEET 2026 counselling result or seat allotment result in online mode. The NEET counselling result is released in PDF format. At first, the provisional result has been announced, and candidates are given a chance to submit grievances online through email, after which the final result will be declared.
How to Resign NEET 2026 Counselling Allotted Seats?
Candidates need to use the process shared below to resign from the NEET 2026 counselling Round 2 seats-

NEET UG Counselling 2026: Documents Required for Institute Reporting
The NEET UG counselling is conducted in two ways: for the 15 per cent All India Quota seats and 85 per cent State Quota seats. While MCC conducts the counselling process for the AIQ seats, State Counselling authorities conduct the NEET State Counselling process. Candidates allotted seats in the NEET Counselling need to report to the allocated institute for confirmation. During the institute reporting, candidates need to carry the given documents-

The NEET counselling registration fee varies for different candidate categories. For the AIQ seats and Central Universities, the fee for the General category candidates is INR 1,000 and for the SC, ST, OBC and PwD category candidates, the fee is INR 500. The NEET counselling is held for admissions to undergraduate Medical/ Dental/ Ayurveda/ Siddha/ Unani/ Homoeopathy courses. There are around four to five rounds of NEET counselling based on the number of seats. Each round comprises these stages- registration, choice filling, seat allotment result and institute reporting. The institute reporting is the only process which is held offline. Candidates need to be physically present at the allotted institute to complete the admission process. NMC MBBS Seat Matrix 2026
The National Medical Commission (NMC) has published the MBBS seat matrix 2026 along with the state-wise and college-wise data. As per the NMC seat matrix 2026, 1,36,939 MBBS seats will be filled for academic session 2026-27. If a candidate does not lock the choice submitted by him/her, it will be automatically locked as per schedule. In case they don't register and fill in choices during registration period, they will not be allotted any seat. NEET counselling registration will be available before the first three rounds of counselling, and not before the Stray Vacancy Round.

In case candidates are not allotted any seat in the second round of the NEET UG counselling, the earlier allotted seat in Round 1 will be retained.
