NEET PG 2025: Exam Date Likely to be Extended Amid NEET PG 2024 Counselling Delays
The NEET PG exam was tentatively scheduled for June 15, 2025, with the National Board of Examinations (NBE) expected to release the official notification, including application dates and other details, soon.
The exam dates for NEET PG 2025 may be extended due to the ongoing delay in the stray round counselling of NEET PG 2024, as per a tweet by the All India Students Dental Association.
Earlier, the National Medical Commission (NMC) had announced in a letter dated December 5, 2024, that NEET PG 2025 would be held online for admission to MD/MS courses for the academic year 2025-26. The exam was tentatively scheduled for June 15, 2025, with the National Board of Examinations (NBE) expected to release the official notification, including application dates and other details, soon.
NEET PG 2025 Registration Process
Once registrations open, candidates will have to apply through the official website, nbe.edu.in. The process includes:
Submitting basic details like name, date of birth, email ID, and mobile number to generate login credentials.
Logging in to fill out the NEET PG 2025 application form and paying the application fee to complete the process.
Downloading the admit card, which will be issued to candidates who meet the eligibility criteria.
NEET PG 2024 Exam Delays Raise Concerns
The 2024 edition of NEET PG faced multiple reschedulings. Originally scheduled for July 7, 2024, it was suddenly advanced to June 23, only to be cancelled 10 hours before it was to be conducted. Eventually, the exam took place on August 11, 2024.
Now, nearly six months later, the counselling process is still ongoing, raising concerns among aspirants about whether NEET PG 2025 will face similar disruptions.
With no official clarification from NBEMS, anxious candidates have taken to social media, sharing memes and jokes to cope with the uncertainty surrounding NEET PG 2025.
