CUET UG Answer Key 2026: Download Provisional and Final Key PDFs and Question Paper

CUET 2026 provisional answer keys will be released on the official website: cuet.nta.nic.in. The provisional answer key is available on NTA and the CUET UG official website, which candidates can directly download, without having to log in. The final answer keys of CUET UG 2026 will be released before the declaration of results. Candidates will be able to download download the answer key PDF for online examinations.

NTA prescribes the CUET UG marking scheme. Check below to know the CUET UG marking scheme 2026:

• Correct answer or the most appropriate answer: Five marks (+5)
• Any incorrect option marked will be given minus one mark (-1).
• Unanswered/Marked for Review will be given no mark (0).
• If more than one option is found to be correct then Five marks (+5) will be awarded to only those who have marked any of the correct options.
• If all options are found to be correct then Five marks (+5) will be awarded to all those who have attempted the question.
• If none of the options is found correct or a question is found to be wrong or a question is dropped, then all candidates who have attempted the dropped question will be given five marks (+5) marks.

NTA will release the CUET UG provisional answer key 2026 tentatively in third week of June 2026. Candidates will be able to challenge the CUET answer key 2026 within the given window in online mode only. On the basis of the challenges received, autorities releases the CUET 2026 revised answer key (expected in first week of July 2025). Candidates who will appear for the exam will be able to calculate their scores for CUET 2026 before the declaration of results. 

CUET 2026 results are expected to be announced in first week of July 2025. Based on score obtained, candidates will have to appear for the counselling process of the participating universities they have applied for. Candidates must make sure that they register for the courses and university they wish to apply in. On the basis of the applications received, participating releases the cut off or merit list. Candidates meeting the cut off criteria will be offered admission to desired UG course.

On analysing the CUET UG cut off for the academic year 2025-26, scoring above 700 marks can be considered a good score in CUET UG. Candidates scoring above 700 may fall in the category of 95+ percentile. Candidates can get admission to top central  universities like University of Delhi, Banaras Hindu University, Jawaharlal Nehru University and other universities in the desired course. Given below is the range that is considered good for admission:

• Very Good Score: 700 and above
• Good Score: 650 and above

Score range between 400-649 is considered an average score. Admission on the basis of the average score can et into any decent college in India accepting CUET scores. 

Candidates will be able to calculate their probable secured scores using the CUET UG answer key. All candidates will have to compare their CUET responses to the CUET 2026 answer key. Candidates must follow the official CUET UG marking scheme. The calculated total will be the probable scores secured in the exam. However, the scores will be indicative and may differ from the result.

1. To challenge the CUET UG 2025 provisional answer key, candidates must follow steps below:
2. Login at official website of NTA CUET UG 2025
3. After logging in, click on 'View/Challenge Answer Keys'
4. Questions can be viewed in sequential order
5. The ID next to the question under the column ‘Correct Option’ stands for the correct Answer Key to be used by NTA
6. To challenge one or more answer keys, candidates have to use any one or more of the Option IDs given in the next four columns by clicking the check box
7. Candidates can upload supporting documents in which they can select ‘Choose File’ and upload (all documents to be put in a single pdf file)
8. Next, they have to scroll down and click on the 'Save Your Claim' tab and move to the next screen where all the challenged questions' Option IDs will be visible
9. Click on ‘Save Claim and Pay Fee Finally’
10. Select Mode of Payment and Pay a non-refundable processing fee of INR 200 for each question challenged. Make payment through Debit/Credit Card/Net Banking/Paytm.

If the question is dropped or the answer key is revised, the following marking scheme will be followed:

• If multiple options are correct then candidates who marked any correct option will receive five marks.

• If all options provided are correct then all candidates who attempted question will be given five marks.

• If none of the options is correct, a question is incorrect, or a question is dropped then all candidates who attempted the dropped question will receive five marks.

CUET UG 2025 answer key has been released on June 17. Candidates who appeared for the exam can download the CUET provisional answer key along with the response sheet after the release. NTA will also release the CUET UG 2025 final answer key before the declaration of final results. It is expected that CUET 2025 final answer key will be released in last week of June 2025.

• Visit the official website of CUET - cuet.nta.nic.in
• Click on the 'Provisional CUET 2025 Answer Key' tab
• Screen will now display the CUET UG 2025 provisional answer key in PDF format.
• Save and download the CUET answer key

The last date to challenge the CUET UG 2025 answer key will be updated. CUET UG 2025 exam will be conducted between May 08 to June 01, 2025. NTA is expected to release the CUET provisional answer key 2025 in first week of July 2025. Candidates can check their response sheet and official answer key. The CUET 2025 answer key challenge window will open soon after the release of provisional answer key.
