OUAT Entrance Exam 2026 result is expected to be declared in the third week of July. The result will be declared in three phases. In the first phase, the result will be declared in percentile scores, followed by the declaration of the rank and release of the Intimation cum Rank Card.  

The OUAT Entrance Exam 2026 is likely to be conducted in the first week of June. The result will be out within a month. Before the result is released, OUAT Bhubaneswar will release the answer keys. Candidates will be able to submit objections within the stipulated schedule by paying INR 200. Based on the OUAT Entrance Exam final answer keys, the result will be computed. 

Candidates can visit the official website of the exam to download their results and to check out their OUAT Scores for the academic session 2026-27. With the help of the scorecard, students will be able to know their OUAT Entrance Exam result and also whether they are eligible to participate in the OUAT counselling process for taking final admission.

OUAT Cutoff 2026

The OUAT Entrance Exam 2026 cutoff will be released on the official website along with the results for both UG and PG courses. For students from the unreserved category, the cutoff is around 50 per cent. For students from the SC and ST categories, the cutoff is 45 per cent. The cutoff marks will be released after the OUAT Entrance Exam is completed, and the results will be announced for the 2026-27 academic session. Until then, students should check the previous years’ cutoff marks to understand the exam difficulty and prepare better.

A common merit list, as well as a category-wise OUAT merit list, will be prepared based on weighted scores secured by candidates in the entrance exam. Further, candidates need to take part in OUAT counselling as per their rank. Here, candidates are provided with an intimation-cum-rank card which specifies the date as well as the time at which candidates need to appear for the OUAT entrance exam 2025 counselling process.

Candidates are offered admission to fill OUAT seats based on the counselling round that is conducted by the OUAT Admission Board for different categories. The merit list for admission in UG programmes offered at OUAT is formulated as per the below-given criteria:

OUAT 2026 Counselling Process

The OUAT Entrance Exam 2026 counselling will be held for candidates who qualify for the exam. The counselling process will have both online and offline steps. There will be about four rounds of counselling. These rounds are expected to take place between August and November 2026. To get admission through OUAT 2026, candidates must follow the given counselling or admission process.

Q:   Can I get direct admission in OUAT?
A: 

No, there is no such procedure to take direct admission in the OUAT exam. Applicants are required to fill the application form and appear in the OUAT entrance exam for their desired course. 

Since there are two entrance exams OUAT UG & OUAT PG, hence applicants who want to take admission in their desired course need to apply accordingly. 

The application form, release of admit card, answer key & result will be released in online mode only.  

Q:   What documents are required to participate in OUAT counselling?
A: 

Candidates who are invited for counselling and admission are required to submit the following documents in original and two sets of self-attested photocopies before the Admission Board. 

  1. Intimation letter

  2. Downloaded application Form

  3. Domicile certificate if relevant (As per clause 2.3.1).

  4. Class 10th & 12th Mark sheet and certificates

  5. UG Certificate and Mark sheet

  6. Master’s Certificate and Mark sheet for Ph. D. admission

  7. PwD Certificate

  8. In the case of NRI/PIO Candidates all the following documents:

  • Sponsorship Certificate (Annexure- III)

  • Passport of Sponsor

  • Visa/permanent residential certificate of sponsor

  • Govt. document or affidavit indicating the blood relationship of candidates with the sponsor

Q:   What are the eligibility criteria for candidates who want to apply for OUAT counselling under AFP Quota?
A: 

Candidates applying under the AFP quota shall produce the original Bonafide Certificate issued by Rajya Sainik Board, Govt. of Odisha, Bhubaneswar-2 at the time of counselling and admission, failing which his/her admission to AFP category seat will be denied.

Q:   How to get admission to BVSC & AH and BFSc through OUAT entrance exam if a candidate comes from a non-PCB and PCM background?
A: 

Candidates without having Mathematics or Biology will have to make up for their deficiency by taking pre-requisite courses in the subject (Mathematics / Biology) to be offered during the first two semesters. For admission into B.V.Sc & A.H and B.F.Sc. subject combination P.C.B. in + 2 science/equivalent is mandatory. Similarly, for B.Tech (Agril. Engg.), subject combination P.C.M in + 2 science / equivalent are mandatory.
