The opening rank is the rank after which admission to a programme of an institute (IITs, NITs and IIITs) starts and closing rank is the rank after which no admission is allowed to that programme. JoSAA releases cutoffs or opening and closing ranks for students to know their chance of admissions in the upcoming rounds. The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) is a centralised counselling process for candidates with JEE Main and JEE Advanced ranks.
- Via JEE Main ranks, candidates get admission to NITs, IIITs and GFTIs.
