JoSAA 2026 Cutoff for Round 5: The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has declared the JoSAA round 5 cutoff 2026 online at josaa.admissions.nic.in. The JoSAA cutoffs for round 5 is updated here individually for every IIT, NIT, IIIT and GFTI. Note that the IIT cutoffs are based on the JEE Advanced scores. On the other hand, the cutoffs for NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs is based on the JEE Mains scores. Along with this, the authorities have announced the JoSAA round 5 seat allotment. Those who meet the cutoffs must download their allotment letters online.

The JoSAA cutoff is released in the form of opening and closing ranks for every participating institute, programme and category. It helps candidates understand the minimum ranks required for admission to a particular institute or branch in the current round. - Visit the JoSAA website, josaa.admissions.nic.in.
- Open the Opening and Closing Ranks link.
- Choose round 5.
- Select the institute type (IIT/NIT/IIIT/GFTI).

Candidates do not need to present a domicile certificate in order to be admitted to IIT, NIT, or IIIT via JEE. The only university where admission is granted based on the Home State Quota is NIT. The state in which you take your 12th board test is used to determine admission, not your home state. When receiving JoSAA counselling, the domicile certificate is not necessary. The JEE score of the applicants determines their admission.
The JEE Advanced closing rank for IITs differs. The cutoff ranks will vary for each of the 23 IITs based on their courses, seats offered and various other factors.

Army Institute of Technology does not participate in the standard JoSAA or CSAB center rounds for its BE course. The institute runs its own independent counseling portal to manage applications. Students must track notifications directly on the college website instead of central engineering portals.
