
GATE 2027 Exam Syllabus: Now that only a few months remain, candidates must complete their GATE portion for preparation as soon as possible. Keep at least one to two months for revision. IIT Madras released GATE exam syllabus on its official website: gate2027.iitm.ac.in. The syllabus for GATE 2027 is available for all 30 subjects. This year, IIT Madras have revised GATE syllabus after five years.
Based on the GATE portion provided, the question paper will be curated for the exam. IIT Madras will conduct GATE 2027 for six days. The GATE exam dates are Feb 6, 7, 13, 14, 20, and 21, 2027. Candidates are advised to check GATE exam eligibility before applying.

GATE 2027 Syllabus Changes
IIT Madras recently announced its first major changes to the GATE syllabus 2027 in five years. If you are preparing for the upcoming GATE exam, here is a complete breakdown of the latest GATE 2027 syllabus changes.
- New Robotics Paper: The biggest update is the introduction of brand-new paper, which is GATE Robotics and Automation (RA) paper. This brings to a total of GATE subjects to 30.
- GATE Biotechnology Syllabus has been revised. Candidates are advised to follow the new GATE BT syllabus for preparation.
- Computer Science and Information Technology (CSE): The GATE CSE syllabus now features an expanded section in AI, Data Analytics and Machine Learning. The syllabus has been revised, and some parts have been deleted in COA, Digital Logic, and Computer Networks. Check GATE syllabus for CSE details.
- Textile Engineering (TF): This paper has been converted into a sectional paper under Engineering Sciences (XE)
- Electronics and Communication: The GATE 2027 ECE paper remains 90% unchanged. However, the GATE ECE Syllabus now include modern communication technologies like IoT, 5Gm and 6G concepts.
- Civil Engineering: The GATE 2027 CE syllabus now focuses towards Green Construction and Sustainable Engineering practices.
- Mechanical Engineering: A new "Advanced Manufacturing" section has been added covering Smart Manufacturing, Industry 4.0, and Additive Manufacturing.
Candidates can appear for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering only if they complete before GATE 2027 registration last date.

GATE 2027 Robotics and Automation Syllabus
The Indian Institute of Technology have introduced a new GATE paper "Robotics and Automation" this year. Candidates with CSE, ME, DA background can apply for GATE "RA" paper. Overall, GATE Robotics and Automation syllabus 2027 combines Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Control and Computer Science Engineering disciplines. The syllabus is divided into two parts:
