CG PET 2026 counselling dates are expected to be released soon. Qualified candidates will have to register online at cgdte.admissions.nic.in to participate in CG PET counselling and admission process. Through counselling, they will be eligible for admissions into participating engineering colleges of state. While registering for CG PET counselling 2026, candidates will have to update their details and submit preferred choices. CG PET 2026 counselling fee has to be paid online through net banking/credit card/debit card.
Selection of courses and colleges has to be done in order of preference. Once choices are selected, it cannot be changed. CG PET 2026 seat allotment result will be announced online. CG PET 2026 Counselling Process
CG PET counselling 2026 will be conducted as an online process. For admission, candidates will have to participate in counselling. No offline counselling will be held.
- Candidates have to register for counselling using basic details.
- While filling online counselling form, all required details have to be submitted correctly.
- In counselling form, candidates will have to upload their photograph and signature. If these documents are uploaded incorrectly, then form will not be accepted.
- CG PET counselling 2026 fee of INR 300 has to be paid online through credit card/debit card/net banking.
- Courses and colleges has to be selected according to order of preferences.
- As per their ranks, candidates will be called for verification of documents. At verification centre, documents have to be submitted.
- CG PET 2026 seat allotment result will be announced online. Seats will be allotted according to rank and preferences.
- Once allotted, they will have to confirm their admission before final date.

During CG PET counselling, candidates will have to keep certain documents ready for verification. If candidates cannot verify their original documents along with photocopies before final date, then their admission will be cancelled. List of important documents is given below.

For CG PET admission, students should have passed 12th class qualifying entrance examination with Maths, Physics and Chemistry. A minimum of 45% marks should have been scored in exam. For reserved category, minimum marks is 40%.
In case two or more candidates secure same CG PET score, then tie breaking guidelines are followed by authorities. Based on their performance in the 12th class examination, students will be ranked to break tie.
JEE Main scores will be accepted for CG PET admission. Students with a valid JEE Main score do not have to attempt the CG PET exam but can directly register for the counselling process. Selection will be done based on rank, eligibility and preferences.

Candidates from other states can also apply for CG PET. During admisison the candidates of Chhattisgarh domicile will get priority. After allotting the seats, the remaining seats shall be allotted to the candidates from outside the State of Chhattisgarh according to the merit list.
