CLAT 2025 Counselling: The Consortium of NLUs has announced that it won’t be releasing the CLAT 2025 First Merit List on December 26, 2024. The move comes after the Delhi High Court ordered the CNLU to review the CLAT 2025 Answer Key first, following the identification of errors in Set A of the undergraduate (UG) question paper. CLAT 2025 Final Answer Key was announced on December 7, 2024.

The CLAT 2025 First Allotment List was scheduled to be released on December 26. The revised CLAT 2025 Counselling Dates have not been announced yet. It is expected the council will revise the CLAT 2025 Result too.

In response to the High Court's ruling, the Consortium announced a delay in the release of the admission list, originally set for December 26, 2024. The Consortium stated, “We recognize that this change may cause some uncertainty, and we assure all candidates that we remain dedicated to maintaining transparency and fairness throughout the process. Any important updates will be communicated via our official channels.”

Discrepancy in the CLAT 2025 Answer Key

The issue arose when candidates noticed inconsistencies in the answer key for CLAT 2025 Exam Set A, which was used to assess their responses. Many candidates pointed out that certain answers in this set were either incorrectly marked or unclear, leading to unfair results for those who had attempted the exam with this set. The discrepancies were brought to the attention of the Consortium of National Law Universities (CNLU), but the candidates felt their concerns were not adequately addressed.

Following this, a group of affected candidates filed a petition in the Delhi High Court, urging the court to intervene and ensure that the results were reevaluated in light of the errors in the answer key.

Aditya Singh, the petitioner, challenged the validity of the answer key, highlighting inconsistencies in questions 14 and 100. Justice Jyoti Singh, upon review, noted that option "C" for question 14 was correct and directed that candidates who selected this option should be awarded full marks. Additionally, question 100 was deemed invalid by the court.
