SMIT 2026 Counselling & Seat Allotment: Dates, Fees & Procedure

1. First, candidates have to register for SMIT counselling process. Candidates will be able to check their allotted counselling date on letter sent through email.
2. After registration is completed, candidates will have to fill in their choice of courses in order of preference. Click on 'Submit'.
3. Candidates will be allotted seats based on their rank, preference and availability of seats. Seat allotment status will be released on the official website. The rank obtained in SMIT/JEE Main/MET will be taken into consideration.
4. After allotment, candidates will have to confirm their allotment by verifying their documents and then paying admission fee.

SMIT Online Test 2026 Cutoff is made available here once released.

The list of documents required for appearing in the counselling is available below. Candidates should carry and four sets of self-attested copies of these documents.

• Class 10 mark sheet/ certificate
• SMIT E-Hall ticket
• JEE Main Score Card 2026 (if applicable)
• MET 2026 rank card (if applicable)
• Anti-Ragging Declaration forms
• Character certificate
• Migration certificate (if applicable)
• Transfer certificate
• Four recent and identical passport-size photographs
• A valid permanent residence certificate is mandatory
• Certificate of Defence, North East, PMF or NRI category(if applicable)

Note: Only receiving the call/counselling letter is not a sufficient condition for admission. Candidates not meeting the eligibility criteria and/or those who have not passed the 10+2 examination should not proceed for counselling even if a counselling letter has been received.
