How to apply for JEE Main 2021?
Students can go through the steps below to know the steps to register for JEE Main 2021:
Step-1: Register online using a valid email id and mobile no. Candidates must use the email ids that they use frequently as all the communication regarding JEE Main 2021 will be don on the same mail id.
Step-2: After registration, login again and fill the Online Application Form and note down the system generated Application No.
Step-3: After entering all the details, upload scanned images (in jpg/jpeg format) of the following documents:
- Candidate’s photograph either in colour or black/white with 80% face (without mask) visible including ears against a white background. The file size should be within 10 kb to 200 kb
- Candidate’s signature with file size within 4kb to 30kb
- Duly verified result awaited attestation form. The file size should be within 50kb to 500kb
- Category certificate for SC/ST/OBC/EWS candidates. The file size should be within 50kb to 300KB
- PwD certificate. The file size should be within 50kb to 300kb
Step-4: Pay JEE Main 2021 application fee using SBI/Canara Bank/HDFC Bank/ICICI Bank/Paytm Payment Gateway through Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking/UPI and keep proof of fee paid.
Step-5: Download, save and print a copy of Confirmation Page of the Application Form (which would be downloadable only after successful remittance of fee) for future reference.
Note: All the above steps can be completed together or at separate timings. The submission of JEE Main application would be considered successful only on the successful transaction/receipt of the prescribed application fee from him/her.
JEE Main 2021 Application Form: Key points to remember
Candidates must keep a note of the following points while filling the application form of JEE Main 2021:
- Candidates must ensure that the information entered by them in their respective online application form is correct
- Information provided by the candidates in their respective online application forms, like, name, contact/ address details, category, PwD status, educational qualification details, date of birth, choice of exam cities, etc. will be treated as final. Any request for change in such particulars after the closure of correction period will not be considered by NTA under any circumstances.
- Candidates must ensure that their email address and mobile number to be registered in the JEE Main Application Form are their own, as relevant/important information/ communication will be sent by NTA through e-mail on the registered e-mail address and / or through SMS on registered mobile number only.
- The final submission of the Online Application Form will remain incomplete if Step-3 and step-4 are not complete. Such forms will stand rejected and no correspondence on this account will be entertained.
- No request for refund of fee once remitted by the candidate will be entertained by NTA under any circumstances.
- The entire application process for JEE (Main) 2021 is online, including uploading of scanned images, payment of fees, and printing of confirmation page, admit card, etc. Therefore, candidates are not required to send/submit any document(s) including confirmation page to NTA through Post/ Fax/WhatsApp/Email/by Hand.
How many attempts for JEE Main 2021?
The JEE (Main) 2021 will be held in February 2021 followed by next three Sessions in March, April, and May 2021. This is being done to ensure that the JEE (Main) 2021 does not interfere with the Board examinations, which may be held at different times across the States/UTs.
