JEE Main 2021: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is conducting the March session of JEE Main 2021 from March 16 to 18 across 792 exam centres in India and abroad. In this session, only JEE Main Paper-1 is conducted in two shifts (9 am to 12 pm and 3 pm to 6 pm). Candidates who appeared in the exam can check the reactions of other students on the overall and sectional difficulty level of the question paper below.

Students who appeared in JEE Main 2021 February exam can check the brief analysis of the question paper and students' reactions below:

  • Questions of all the subjects were within the syllabus
  • Overall the question paper was easy to moderate
  • The Chemistry and Physics section was easy if compared to Mathematics

JEE Main 2021 Students’ Reaction & Review of Paper-1 (BE/BTech) - March Session (Available)

JEE Mains 2021 March 17 Slot 1 has ended and the first reactions are now available. Students who have appeared for the paper today have said that the paper overall moderate to difficult. A few questions in all three sections (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) were confusing.

  • Nitish said few questions to be tough but overall the paper was easy. He is confident of scoring above 200.
  • Palak, also from the same centre, said that she found Mathematics section toughest. The chemistry was easiest but she thinks she did a mistake in the integer questions. 
JEE Mains March 16 exam was conducted successfully across 331 exam cities and abroad. Many students who appeared in the exam found the paper was easy to moderate. 
  • Shashank says that JEE Main 2021 Paper 1 was moderate. There were more questions from Kinematics in the Physics section. Chemistry had more questions from Polymers, Solutions while the Mathematics section was the difficult than the other section more questions from Limits, Matrices and Determinant Factors. 
  • Hassan says that the paper was between easy to moderate. The Physics section had questions from class XI and the Mathematics section had questions from class 12. The Mathematics section had more questions from Limits and Integration. The chemistry section had more internal questions. However, all three papers were easy.
JEE Main 2021 Students’ Reaction & Review of Paper-1 (BE/BTech) - February Session

Candidates can go through the students' reactions regarding the exam below:

Rahul: According to him, the Physics section of the question paper was difficult. In Physics, there were more questions on Gravitation, while in Mathematics it was Sets and Integration. In Chemistry, Inorganic questions were higher in number. The Mathematics section was the toughest.

Shivansh: He said that the questions in the Mathematics section were tougher. For him Chemistry and Physics questions were easy.

Vansh: According to him, the overall question paper was easy. This year, JEE Main 2021 test paper had more questions from the Class 11 syllabus.

Divansh: He revealed that Mathematics was a bit tougher than other section. Physics had more questions from Thermodynamics, Chemistry was a balanced section. Mathematics had more questions from Vectors.

Tanushree: Paper can be considered as easy. Mathematics questions were moderate.

JEE Main 2021 Students’ Reaction & Review of Paper-2A (BArch)

  • JEE Main Paper-2 (for BArch) was conducted successfully on February 23 (Second Shift). Candidates can check the students' reactions below.
  • The NTA has taken care that most students are allotted the first preference as their exam centres. The authority has also taken proper measures to minimise human contact and adhere to social distancing norms in place.
  • The majority of students who appeared in the exam said that the JEE Main Paper-2 BArch was of moderate difficulty level.
  • The Aptitude and Drawing section of the question paper was easy but Mathematics was tough.
  • Some students also said that Mathematics was a bit lengthier compared to the other two sections.

Sivansh: The Mathematics paper was average. The aptitude section was easy to moderate. In Mathematics, most of the questions were from 3D Geometry.

Divanshi: Paper can be considered as easy to moderate. Mathematics was average. Aptitude was easier if compared to Mathematics.

Rajat: Mathematics was a bit tougher than other sections.

Anubhav: Mathematics was tough. Questions from functions were difficult than other questions.

The JEE Main cutoff is the minimum percentile score required to qualify for the JEE Advanced exam. Its is released with the April session result.

No. There is no qualifying percentile in JEE Main. However, the candidates who want to appear in JEE Advanced will have to get a minimum qualifying percentile in JEE Mains. This minimum qualifying percentile is announced with the JEE Main session 2 reult.
