The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has officially started the CLAT 2025 counselling process for undergraduate and postgraduate law admissions today; i.e. May 17, 2025. This marks the commencement of the seat allotment process for 24 participating NLUs based on revised CLAT 2025 results. The Consortium has clarified that those who have already registered for CLAT Counselling earlier will not have to re-register. However, those who have not must register on or before May 21, 2025.
Candidates who appeared in the CLAT 2025 exam and are eligible as per the merit list can now register for counselling through the official website: consortiumofnlus.ac.in. The CLAT 2025 first allotment list or merit list is scheduled to be released on May 26, 2025.

Mode: Will be held Online only
Counselling Fee: INR 30,000 (General/OBC) | INR 20,000 (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD)
Rounds: Five rounds are expected
Seat Locking Options: Candidates will have the option to Freeze, Float, and Exit
Steps to Register for CLAT Counselling 2025:
Candidates can follow the simple steps given below to register for CLAT 2025 Counselling:
- Go to consortiumofnlus.ac.in
- Log in using your registered mobile number and password
- Click on “Counselling Registration”
- Pay the counselling fee and submit choices
Candidates will be given the option to accept their seat, apply for an upgrade, or exit the process after each allotment round. The counselling process is being held after the Apex Courtdirective for a revised result release due to discrepancies in the original answer key. Students are advised to regularly check the official website for updates on merit lists, seat allotment, and deadlines for confirmation.
