NEET 2024 Counselling Online Stray Vacancy Round Choice Locking Begins at mcc.nic.in

The NEET 2024 counselling choice locking process for Online Stray Vacancy Round has commenced today, October 25, 2024, at 4 PM. The deadline to submit the locked choices was extended from October 26, 2024, 8 AM, to October 27, 2024, 11.55 PM. Candidates who have already registered will be eligible to lock and submit their choices.

NEET 2024 Counselling Online Stray Vacancy Round Choice Locking Begins

The NEET 2024 counselling choice locking process for the Online Stray Vacancy Round has commenced today, October 25, 2024, at 4 PM. The deadline to submit the locked choices was originally October 26, 2024, 8 AM. It was extended till October 27, 2024, 11.55 PM. Candidates who have already registered could fill, lock and submit their choice of colleges and seats.

The choice-filling process, which started on October 23, 2024, was also extended till October 27, 2024, 11.55 PM. The registration process for NEET 2024 counselling Round 4 or Online Stray Vacancy Round was conducted from October 22 to October 25, 2024, 12 noon. The application fee could be paid till 3 pm today.

In this round, the total number of clear vacancies is 1,184. One seat has been added at the Sri Lakshmi Narayan Institute of Medical Science, Puducherry.

How to Lock NEET 2024 Counselling Choices

Eligible candidates for choice-locking process will have to follow the steps given below:

• Visit the official website of MCC – www.mcc.nic.in/ug-medical-counselling/
• Click on the tab ‘New Registration 2024’ under the Candidate Activity section
• Log in with the registration credentials
• Click on the tab indicating Choice Filling
• Check the entered choices carefully and submit
• Click on the lock button
• If a candidate does not lock the choice submitted by him/her, it will be automatically locked as per schedule
• Take a printout of the locked choices

 Factors to Consider for NEET 2024 Counselling Choice Locking

Candidates must note the following points before the final choice locking process:

• The registration process including the payment of the registration fee is complete before proceeding towards the choice filling and locking stages.
• Male candidates must ensure that they do not select female-only colleges such Lady Hardinge Medical Colleges, New Delhi; BPS Govt. Medical College for Women, Sonepat; Ahilya Bai College of Nursing, New Delhi, to name a few.
• Once the choice locking process is completed, there will not be any option to revoke or change the choices. Hence, candidates must be careful during this process.

The seat allotment result will be declared on October 29, 2024. The institute reporting process will be conducted from October 30 to November 5, 2024. This is the last and final round of NEET 2024 counselling. MCC may release further rounds of counselling in case of vacant seats.
