SSC GD 2026 Latest Updates
The Commission is going to release the written exam (CBT) result for the exam that was conducted from April 27 to May 30, 2026 in four phases. The SSC GD answer key was released on June 15. The last date to challenge the answer key was June 20. Over 48 lakhs candidates registered who appeared for the SSC GD CBT exam. The notification PDF was released on December 1 to fill a total of 25487 vacancies. The selection process consists of CBT, PET/PST, Medical Examination and Document Verification. SSC GD 2027

Candidates must be of minimum 18 years of age in order to be eligible for SSC GD exam. The upper SSC GD age limit is 23 years. However, the Commission provides a relaxation in the upper age limit for all the reserved categories such as OBC, SC, ST, ExS and others. The SSC GD Constable exam carries a total of 160 marks. The SSC GD exam (CBE) comprises a total of 80 questions of 2 marks each. Candidates are awarded +2 marks for each correct answer in the SSC GD Constable exam. Candidates get to know the correct answers from the official SSC GD answer key. However, only correct answers are not counted for SSC GD results. There is a negative marking for each incorrect answer marked by candidate.

The final SSC GD merit list along with force allocation is prepared by the Commission based on the performance of candidates in the CBE and preference of force opted by them subject to their qualification of the PET/ PST, DME and DV. The SSC GD exam is the basis for preparation of the merit list. The SSC GD PET/ PST and DME/ DV is qualifying in nature.
If you are not able to find your name or roll number on the SSC GD Constable result or merit list, it means that you have not qualified the exam. A candidate is moved to the next phase of the hiring process after clearing the first phase, that is, Computer-Based Examination (CBE) of the SSC GD. If canddiates fail to clear the SSC GD CBE, they need to retake the exam in the next cycle.

SSC GD Weight Requirement: Candidates’ weight should be proportionate to their height and age as per the medical standards.
