UPESMET 2025: Exam Dates (OUT), Application Form (Available), Eligibility, Syllabus, Results

UPESMET is a common entrance exam, conducted by UPES, Dehradun for admission to its MBA programmes. UPES offers unique industry-focused graduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes in key areas such as Energy, Infrastructure, Transportation, Information Technology, Design, Planning & Architecture, Public Policy, and Legal studies. UPESMET is conducted multiple times a year. The exam is conducted in online proctored mode. 

UPESMET 2025 application is released online. Interested candidates can fill the application form for the online entrance exam within the stipulated time, as mentioned in the official notification.

UPESMET Eligibility Criteria

Know the eligibility criteria for UPSEMET 2025 below:

• Candidates should be graduates in any discipline with a minimum of 50 per cent marks from a recognised University

• Candidates must have passed Class 10th and Class 12th with a minimum 50 per cent aggregate

• Candidates in their final year of qualifying exam are also eligible for UPESMET provided they can present the passing certificate by the time of admissions

•  Candidates who have MAT, CMAT, XAT, CAT, NMAT by GMAC and GMAT scores of either the same or the previous year, are exempted from taking the UPESMET exam

Non-Examination Pathway for PG admission

Admission is offered based on national-level management entrance exams – CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT/NMAT/GMAT followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interviews. Up to 50 per cent of the seats are filled through the non-examination pathway category students. The minimum percentile required for entry to the non-exam pathway has been listed below:

• MAT score of at least the 80th percentile
• CMAT 2025 score of minimum 80 percentile
• XAT 2025/CAT 2023 score of minimum 75 percentile
• NMAT 2025 score of a minimum of 140
• GMAT Scores

Minimum cut off for admission through the national level entrance tests

 Note: 30 per cent of the seats are filled through the national level entrance tests. In case such seats are vacant, then UPES will fill those seats through UPESMET.

Reservation of Seats 

• 15 per cent seats in all programmes are reserved for candidates belonging to the state of Uttarakhand 
•  Such candidates need to provide the 'Sthai Niwas Praman Patra' certificate
• However, if these seats remain unfilled in the category, then it will be treated as unreserved

UPESMET exam is conducted multiple times in a year. To qualify for the UPESMET exam and get admission to UPES Business school candidates must devise effective preparation strategy. Check the tips below to know how to prepare for UPESMET:

1. Candidates must know the complete exam pattern and syllabus

2. Device a preparation strategy as per the syllabus and stick to the strategy

3. Abalyse all the strong and weak areas while preparing for the exam

4. Take mock tests and solve previous year's sample papers to become familiar with the level of examination

5. Assess the performance and modify the preparation strategy accordingly

Admit card is one of the important documents that must be carried on the examination day. UPESMET 2025 admit card will not be released as the exams are held online. Candidates who will register for the UPESMET exam will be sent the confirmation mail to their registered email address or mobile number. Candidates will be required to appear for the examination in the slot chosen by them.
