How to Fill JEE Main Application Form 2026: The National Testing Agency will start the JEE Main registration 2026 for session 2 exam in the third week of January 2026. JEE Main 2026 application form link will be available on the website jeemain.nta.nic.in 2026. Candidates can apply for JEE Main 2026 session 2 only in online mode. Candidates interested in applying for the exam must ensure their Aadhaar have correct details as the candidate's basic information, like name, gender, date of birth, and photo, will be verified from the Aadhaar database.

NTA introduced a few changes in the application process this year.
- Candidates had to upload his/her live photograph at the time of filling of the application form using webcam of laptop/computer besides uploading his/her Scanned Images of Photograph.
- Also, change in dimensions of documents to upload were made. As per new dimesions, signature file should be between 10 kb to 100 kb.
- Scanned copy of class 10 marks-sheet should be between 50 kb to 300 kb and scanned copy of identity proof (for those candidates who will verify their identities through methods other than Aadhaar or DigiLocker) should be in between 10 kb to 200 kb.
- Scanned copy of Disability/UDID certificate should be a pdf between 50 kb to 300 kb.

Documents Required for JEE Mains April 2026 Registration
Candidates should have the following documents while filling the JEE Main application form 2026
- Class 10 certificate
- Scanned image of passport-size colour photo and signature as per recommended size and format
- Category certificates (for OBC-NCL & EWS category candidates)
- Credit/Debit Card or Internet banking details for payment of JEE Mains form fees
- PwD/PwBD certificates (if applicable)
Note: PwD/PwBD and SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS candidates must check that their certificates are valid and have the correct information. PwD/PwBD candidates have to upload their certiificates while filling the application form. SC/ST/EWS/OBC-NCL candidates have to provide details of certificate issuing person and date in the application form.

Yes, Candidates who wish to appear in both the sessions of JEE Main 2026 need to fill application form separately for all sessions. However, the JEE Main registration need to be done only once. Candidates who apply for the first session of JEE Mains 2026 can use their session 1 application number and password to login and apply for the second session. During the second session of application filling, candidates only need to enter details of paper for which appearing, exam centre preference and pay the application fees. Other details related to education, address, parents details documents uploaded are taken from the first session application process.
Candidates also have the option of filling the combined application form for both session 1 and 2 during session 2 application process.

The process to fill JEE Main 2026 application form involves the following stages:
- Visit the JEE Main official website jeemain.nta.ac.in
- Click on "JEE Mains 2026 Registration Session 2" link
- Check all instructions and procedd to fill the required details. Create a password of your choice to register for the exam. After registration, candidates will receive details of JEE Main Registration number and password in their mobile number and emails ID.
- After completing registration, candidates will move on to filling the application form. At this stage, they need to provide details of education, paper choice, exam city choice, preferred language of paper, and live photo capture.
- Upload scanned documents
- Pay the JEE Mains exam fee
- Take a printout of the acknowledgement page and keep it safe.

Registration
It is the first step in apply for JEE Mains exam. In this step, candidates have to visit the JEE Main official website for registration. Candidates have to provide details of name, gender, mobile phone number, email ID, address for communication, parents details, category etc. After filling all the information, candidates have to click on the submit button. They also have to create a password that will be used for future logins.

Filling JEE Mains 2026 April Application Form
After registration, candidates have to complete the JEE Main 2026 application form. Aspirants need to fill academic and paper (for which appearing) details in the JEE Main application form 2026 at this step. Below are the details that the candidates should fill in the application form.

Uploading Scanned Images
At this step, aspirants are required to upload their scanned photograph and signature in the specifications prescribed (as mentioned in the table below)
Before filling JEE Main 2026 application form, candidates should have a scanned image of his/her recent photograph and signature. These scanned images are to be uploaded during the submission of the application form. Here are some important details that candidates should remember before uploading the scanned photograph and signature.
- The photograph should be coloured or black/white (but in clear contrast) with the name of the candidate and the date of taking the photograph printed on it.
- The photograph should not have the candidate wearing a cap or sunglasses. Spectacles are allowed. Polaroid photos are not acceptable.
- Candidates with an unclear photograph will be rejected.
- Candidates are advised to reserve 6-8 identical photographs for all future purposes including the seat allocation and admission process.

Pay JEE Main 2026 Application Fees
The candidates can pay the application fees in online mode only. For online payment, candidates can pay through Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Net Banking/Paytm/UPI. JEE Main application form will be considered submitted once the fees is paid.
Print the confirmation page
The last step is to take four printouts of the confirmation page, after the successful payment of JEE Main 2026 application fees. Candidates must keep this acknowledgment page till the admission process is over. This is how the JEE Main application form 2026 exam confirmation page will look like:
Candidates whose application form is submitted will be issued JEE Main admit card 2026 to appear in the exam. Without the JEE admit card, candidates will not be allowed to sit for the examination.
Instructions for Selecting Exam City Preference in JEE Mains April Application Form 2026
Candidates must select the exam city preference carefully while filling the application form. Candidates can select maximum four option as their choice of test cities for the exam centre in order of their priority. Choice of centre cities will be limited to the state of permanent address or state of present address only and in certain cases, only one option may also be available based on the address criteria.
NTA will allot the exam city to the candidates in order of choice opted by them in their JEE Main form. However, due to administrative/logistic reasons, a different city can be allotted, not filled during JEE Main registration.
