CRL stands for the Common Rank List. NTA releases the cutoff in several categories one of which is CRL. Basically, CRL means unreserved category. Candidates belonging to unreserved category need to have JEE Main cutoff equal to or more than the CRL cutoff. The other categories for which cutoff is released are Gen-EWS, Open-PwD, OBC-NCL, SC and ST.

How is JEE Main Percentile 2026 calculated?

National Testing Agency (NTA) calculates JEE Main percentile using a formula which uses raw scores. To prepare JEE Main raw scores, official marking scheme will be used. The raw scores of the candidates are calculated using the marking scheme of the JEE Main 2026 exam:

  • +4 for each correct answer.
  • -1 for each wrong attempt.
  • 0 for unanswered

The percentile is calculated by using the following formula.

DIT University BTech admissions are not possible without the JEE Main scores. DIT Institute Dehradun admission to courses other than the BTech is based on merit & entrance test scores. The accepted entrance exams are MAT, XAT,  CAT, CMAT,  UKSEE, etc.

If a question is dropped in the JEE Main exam, then the candidates of the shift from which the question is dropped will get bonus marks. It does not matter if you attempted the question or not. If a question from your shift is dropped then you will be eligible for +4 bonus marks.
