JEE Advanced 2017 is all set to be held on May 21 and it's a must for aspirants to know the things they should and should not do on the exam day. The exam comprises of two paper - Paper 1 and Paper 2. Each of the two papers will be of 3 hours. While the first paper will be conducted from 9 am to 12 noon, the second paper i.e. Paper 2 will be held from 2 pm to 5 pm. Please note that appearing for both the papers is compulsory.
This year, around 2.2 lakh students will be eligible for JEE Advanced 2017 which is a gateway for admissions to the premier IITs (Indian Institute of Technology).

Here are some guidelines you should stick to on the day of JEE Advanced 2017:
Admit card: Download your JEE Advanced 2017 admit card. Do not forget to carry the same along with an original copy of your photo identity card. Aspirants would have received the original admit card once the identity verification process was over.
The reporting time for JEE Advanced 2017 Paper 1 is 7:30 am. So, aspirants are advised to reach the exam center before the mentioned time. The reporting time for the second paper is 1 pm. Thus, reaching the exam center before 1 pm is advisable. Aspirants using scribe services will get compensatory time of one hour. For these aspirants, Paper 1 and Paper 2 would conclude at 1 pm and 6 pm respectively.
Late entry not allowed: Candidates will not be allowed to enter the examination center after scheduled start of the examination, i.e., after 9 am for Paper 1 and after 2 pm for Paper 2.
No digital watch: Aspirants will not be allowed to bring any type of digital watch inside the examination center. However, aspirants can get an analogue watch. Invigilators will announce the time for every half-an-hour during the examination.
Biometric Data: Biometric data (digital photo and finger prints) of all the aspirants will be collected inside the examination hall just before the start of the examination in both morning and afternoon session.
Physical Frisking: The candidates are requested to cooperate for physical frisking at the examination centre. They are requested to report at the examination center well in advance to avoid any delay.
