Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal, Education Minister of India today said that the exam dates of JEE Main 2021 will be announced soon, may increase the number of attempts. Read more details below.
Education Minister today conducted a live interaction session through his Twitter and Facebook handle to answer queries and doubts related to JEE Main 2021, NEET and board exams. In his session, he cleared many doubts related to the JEE Main 2021 exam date, multiple attempts and syllabus.
In regard to the JEE Main 2021 exam dates, the Minister said that exam dates will be announced well in advance by the authority so that students get enough time for revision and prepare for the examination.

He also mentioned that many students have requested that the authority should consider increasing the number of attempts of JEE Main. The Minister has assured that the authority is looking for options to increase the number of attempts from two times to three or four times in a year to help students. The final decision will soon be taken and notified to the students.
Talking about the JEE Main syllabus, a student named Manish questioned that if the syllabus is not reduced, JEE Main examination can be postponed. The Minister further replied that the authority has reduced the syllabus of CBSE to reduce the burden on students and as soon as the situation normalises, they will increase the syllabus. He also mentioned that JEE Main will be held in online mode only and NEET in offline mode. Any change in this decision will be notified to the students.
Another query on clash of JEE Main 2021 exam dates with board practicals was raised by Jigyansh, a class 12 student. Pokhriyal replied that the authority will make sure that the board practical exam do not coincide with the JEE Main 2021 exam.
