Many state governments provide free coaching institutes for entrance exams like JEE Main and NEET. Check the list and admission process here.
Engineering is one of the largest education domains globally. In India alone, more than 20 lakh students take admission in various engineering institutes at UG level courses every year. There are numerous coaching institutes that provide assistance to students in cracking the engineering entrance examinations and taking admission in their preferred institute. Most of these institutes are privately owned and charge a hefty amount, making it unbearable and out of reach from many deserving and economically poor aspirants.
However, many state governments and also some educational trusts/individuals run free coaching institutes to help deserving and needy students. Admission to most of these free JEE Main coaching institutes is based on merit in intermediate marks while some institutes also offer admission through entrance exam.
Explore colleges based on JEE Main
Most free coaching institutes for entrance exams target JEE Main, which is the most popular engineering exam. JEE Main is the gateway to admission in prestigious institutes like the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs). Many states which do not conduct their own entrance exams for admission to UG engineering courses also admit students on the basis of JEE Main score. Check below the list of free coaching institutes for JEE Main 2022.
- Delhi Govt Coaching
- Uttar Pradesh Abhyuday Yojna For Rural Students
- Rajasthan Govt Anuprati Coaching

The name of the scheme is “Super 100”. A total of 26 students out of 100 have bagged a seat each in IITs in the year 2021. Yes, many Engineering colleges in Mumbai accept JEE Main scores under the All India quota. JEE Main seats are limited in number compared to MHT CET seats. Maharashtra state candidates mostly use MHT CET scores, while candidates from other states can apply using JEE Main.
