JEE Main counselling and seat allotment has many processes. Once seat is allotted to a candidate, you have option of Accept and Freeze, Accept and Float and Slide. The JEE Main cutoff for GFTIs is released by the JoSAA after the counselling is over. Candidates can check previous year JEE Main cutoff for GFTIs from the Shiksha page. The cutoff for GFTIs vary for various branches and also category of students.
To participate in the JEE Main counselling, candidates will need to upload the following documents at the time of JoSAA registration. Class 10 mark sheet/certificate, Class 12 Certificate of category (if applicable), PwD Certificate (if applicable). After the seat allotment, while reporting to the institute, candidates will also need to submit documents like JoSAA seat allotment letter, JEE Main/Advanced admit card, Gap Certificate (if gap after class 12).

It is mandatory to have minimum 75% marks (65% for reserved category) in class 12 to take admission in IITs, NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. However many institutes admit students on basis of JEE Main where there is no requirement of minimum marks in class 12.
