JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Exam Date: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced that the JEE Main 2026 session 2 exam dates. The exam was held from April 2 to 8. NTA has allotted the exam date to all the registered candidates via the JEE Main city intimation slip 2026. The city slip informs the candidates of their JEE Mains session 2 exam date; however, the shift (Morning or Afternoon) will be allotted via the JEE Mains session 2 hall ticket.
As soon as the JEE Main 2026 exam date is allotted to the candidates via the city slip, they should start planning their travel and accommodation in case the allotted city is very far.

How to Check JEE Main 2026 Exam Date for Session 2
Candidates can check the JEE Mains exam date 2026 at three different places. However, each of these is available in phases depending on the stage of the exam. These are-
- NTA Exam Schedule Notice: A separate official notice containing the exact JEE Mains 2026 exam date is published on the official website - jeemain.nta.nic.in.
- City Intimation Slip: It shows the allotted exam date and exam city. The JEE Main city intimation slip is released 10-12 days before the exam to provide students enough time to plan their travel for a smooth conduct of the exam.
- JEE Main Admit Card: Just 3-4 days before the exam, the authority will publish the JEE Mains 2026 admit card. The admit card is a mandatory document required to be carried to the exam hall while appearing for the test. This is the document which mentions the complete JEE Main exam centre address, exam date and the shift timings. Students will also be able to check their reporting time at the centre on the admit card itself.
Can The Allotted JEE Mains Exam Date Be Changed?
No, NTA does not entertain any request for a change in the JEE Mains exam date under any circumstances for any candidate.
NTA has clarified via the FAQs released by them that it will not change the JEE Main 2026 exam date in case of a clash with other state or national-level exams. Therefore, candidates should check the schedule of JEE Mains and other exams that they are planning to appear in this year.
