Besides NLUs in India, some other private law colleges accept CLAT 2026 scores for admissions in UG and PG law courses. Read here to know more.
The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is conducted by the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) for shortlisting candidates seeking admission to undergraduate as well as postgraduate law programmes. The exam is primarily conducted for admissions to the NLUs in India, however, many private colleges and universities also accept CLAT scores for admission to law courses. The only NLU not accepting CLAT score is the National Law University, Delhi (NLUD) that conducts its own entrance exam; i.e. AILET for shortlisting candidates.
CLAT Application Process is currently underway. The last date to apply is October 31, 2025. CLAT Exam Date 2026 is December 7, 2025.
