OJEE registration 2025 is underway for the MBA and other courses. The exam is scheduled to be conducted in May 2025. Shiksha conducted an exclusive poll to gain insights into whether OJEE aspirants are opting for other MBA entrance exams as well. Read below to know more.
A recent poll was conducted for the MBA aspirants appearing for OJEE exam 2025. The poll reveals that majority of the OJEE applicants are inclined towards Odisha Joint Entrance Exam (OJEE), with a staggering 88% of aspirants opting only for the OJEE exam 2025. This showcases the students’ preferences for MBA colleges accepting OJEE scores.
OJEE 2025 is scheduled to be conducted from May 2, 2025, to May 6, 2025, and on May 10, 2025, and May 11, 2025. The exam will be conducted in the computer-based test mode for which the registrations are underway.
According to the poll conducted by Shiksha.com, the following insights have been seen:
- 88% of OJEE applicants are appearing only for this exam for MBA admissions
- 2% of the candidates are appearing for CAT and XAT along with OJEE
- 2% of the candidates are also appearing for other MBA entrance exams such as ATMA, MAT, XAT, etc.
- 5% of the candidates have also opted for other state exams for MBA admissions
- Additionally, 2% of the candidates are preparing for multiple MBA entrance exams.
While OJEE remains the popular choice among MBA candidates, there is minimal interest in national-level MAB entrance exams such as CAT and XAT. OJEE aspirants are also opting for exams such as ATMA, MAT, etc. which are widely accepted by the top B-schools in India.
A small portion of the MBA aspirants are options for various management exams indicating a diversified approach towards MBA admissions.
The data shows that the majority of MBA aspirants are taking the OJEE exam, which may indicate an inclination to regional educational opportunities due to affordable fee, familiar job markets, accessibility and proximity, etc. as compared to other national-level MBA entrance exams.
The poll results also indicate that OJEE is a preferred route for management aspirants in Odisha. However, if the students are planning to expand their options beyond OJEE, they may benefit from considering national level MBA entrance tests such as CAT, XAT, MAT, CMAT, etc. to gain admission to the top B-schools across India.
The OJEE Board releases the OJEE counselling notification online on the website, ojee.nic.in. The OJEE counselling process has started on June 20, 2025.
Candidates who qualify the OJEE exam will be eligible to participate in the OJEE counselling process. The qualifying candidates have to complete the OJEE counselling registration online once the registration window opens. The registration process for OJEE counselling comprises registration, choice filling & locking, seat allotment, and reporting to the nodal centre. The authority will release OJEE counselling 2025 schedule online. The registration window will be open for approximately a month and the students can lock their choices and get the document verification done after the final seat allotment process is complete.
OJEE is held in about 39 test cities in Odisha. The test centre allotted to candidates for the OJEE exam will be mentioned on OJEE admit card. An applicant can select up to three test cities during the OJEE application process. They should choose the test city carefully as the request to change the test city later may or may not be accepted due to non-availability of seats at the centres in that particular city. The OJEE Cell has announced the OJEE exam dates. The OJEE exam 2025 was conducted from May 2, 2025, to May 6, 2025 and on May 10 and 11. The registrations for OJEE exam started on January 30, 2025. The registration window closed on March 20, 2025.
The OJEE admission process is completely online and the schedule was also be announced online on the official website. The OJEE 2025 exam was conducted in three-four shifts like every year. The schedule along with the exam timings and duration was announced along with the OJEE exam date.
