UP MBBS BDS Admission 2025: The Directorate of Medical Education and Training (DMET) will conduct the counselling process for admission to UG medical courses for admission to MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BYMS, BUMS and BHMS courses in government of private medical/ dental colleges across Uttar Pradesh state. Students who qualifies the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Undergraduate are eligible to appear for UP NEET UG counselling process. DMET will conduct the UP NEET counselling 2025 for 85% of state quota reserved seats.
The UP NEET UG counselling 2025 schedule PDF will be released by DMET Uttar Pradesh along with round-wise counselling dates. It is expected that the UP NEET counselling process 2025 will begin from the first week of July 2025. The authorities will tentatively conduct three rounds of UP NEET UG 2025 counselling, followed by two rounds of mop up counselling. However, the counselling rounds are strictly based on the number of vacant seats after each round of counselling.
UP NEET 2025 Counselling Process
Students who are willing to appear for UP NEET UG counselling 2025 can check the step-by-step process for admission to MBBS/ BDS courses in Uttar Pradesh:
Step 1: Registration – Candidates interested in participating in the UP NEET 2025 counselling process have to first complete their registration on the official website, upneet.gov.in. UP NEET UG counselling registration is the first and foremost step to participate in the counselling process.
Step 2: Choice Filling and Locking – Once registration and verification are complete, students have to fill in and lock their preferred choices of courses and colleges in the order of priority. The choice filling shall be done within the deadline to ensure eligibility to appear in the counselling process.
Step 3: Seat Allotment – The Directorate of Medical Education and Training (DMET) will evaluate the applications and announce the UP NEET UG 2025 seat allotment results online for the candidates who have been allotted seats.
Step 4: Admission - Those students who will be allotted a seat in the seat allotment process have to complete the admission formalities and document submission to ensure they get the allotted seat.

The NEET counselling process is conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) primarily in online mode. All the steps of the counselling process, including the registration, release of seat matrix, choice filling and locking, and release of the seat allotment result. Only the last and final round, which is the institute reporting, has to be done in offline mode. Herein candidates who have been allotted seats have to visit the institutes for document verification and complete the admission process by paying the requisite fee amount.
