
SSC GD Exam 2026: The Staff Selection Commission is expected to soon release the SSC GD 2026 new exam dates. It will be released at ssc.gov.in. Earlier the exam was supposed to be conducted on February 23. But it was postponed due to the SSC MTS exam. As, the SSC MTA exam was over on March 2 and commission won't conduct two exams simultaneously. The SSC GD 2026 exam will be held online as Computer-Based Test Mode (CBE). The authority will issue the city intimation slip around one week prior to the exam date and SSC GD admit card three days before the examination date.
The application form for SSC GD 2026 closed on December 3, 2025. SSC GD notification PDF was released on December 1 to fill total 25487 vacancies. SSC GD Admit Card 2026
The SSC GD admit card is the official authority letter which authorises the candidates to appear in the exam on a proticular date and at a particular exam centre. It is not valid other than the details mentioned on it. The Staff Selection Commission will release the SSC General Duty Constable Admit Card 2026 on its official website. The Commission will release the hall ticket online only under the candidate's login. The same can be downloaded by logging with the SSC One Time Registration number and password. The hard copy of the admit card is not sent by post. Candidates need to download their hall tickets by logging with the required credentials. The hard copy of the same is not sent to candidates by post. They need to carry the same along with one photo-identity proof to the exam centre. SSC GD Exam Centre
SSC GD Computer-Based Examination (CBE) requires dedicated internet connectivity and cybersecurity. Hence, special examination centres are designated for the exam. The SSC GD CBE is conducted online in over 50 cities. Candidates need to choose three SSC GD exam centres while filling out the online application form. Based on the selected exam centres, the candidate is allotted a particular exam city centre. However, the Commission reserves the right to allot or change the examination centre at any point before the exam.

SSC GD Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria contribute to the higher number of applications for the exam because the educational requirement is Matric/ High School only. There is an SSC GD age limit of 18 to 23 years.
