IISER Tirupati has recently introduced three new courses for admissions to the BS-MS/MS/BTech programmes for the admission process 2025-2026. Candidates interested in taking admissions to IISERs, IIT Madras, and IISc Bangalore can check out the new courses available for this academic session here. IISER Entrance Exam for the academic session 2025-2026 will be offering three new courses at IISER Kolkata, IISER Bhopal and IISER Tirupati. Candidates who are interested in pursuing their career in the research field can check out the new courses available and their seat intake in this Shiksha article.

IAT 2025 primary pathway for admission into the various undergraduate programmes offered at seven IISERs, IIT Madras and IISc Bangalore. The exam assesses a candidate's understanding and application of concepts in core science subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology. This evaluation helps determine a candidate's suitability for advanced scientific studies and research. IAT Application Form will be available online from March 10, 2025 onwards and the last day to fill out the application form will be April 15, 2025. IISER Entrance Exam 2025 will be conducted on May 25, 2025 at various exam centres across the nation.

NOTE:

For admissions to the following programs, candidates must have Mathematics during their Class XII (or equivalent):

  • 5-year BS-MS in Computational and Data Sciences program at IISER Kolkata
  • 4-year B. Tech. program at IISER Bhopal
  • 4-year BS in Economic Sciences program at IISER Bhopal 
  • 4-year BS in Economic and Statistical Sciences program at IISER Tirupati.

The IISER Entrance Exam Marking Scheme is as follows:

  1. Physics 15 questions will be asked in the examination and 60 marks will be the maximum awarded for all the correct answers.
  2.  Mathematics- 15 questions will be asked in the examination and 60 marks will be the maximum awarded for all the correct answers.
  3. Chemistry 15 questions will be asked in the examination and 60 marks will be the maximum awarded for all the correct answers.
  4. Biology 15 questions will be asked in the examination and 60 marks will be the maximum awarded for all the correct answers. Marking scheme: Candidates will be awarded three marks for each correct answer. There will be negative marking of one mark for each incorrect answer.
