IIT Delhi BTech Eligibility & Highlights 2025
IIT Delhi BTech is a four-year course, which is offered in a full-time mode across 14 specialisations. Some of the offered course specialisations are CSE, Mechanical Engineering, Textile Technology, etc. Admission to IIT Delhi BTech courses is based on the aspirant's JEE Advanced score. To qualify for JEE Advanced, candidates have to pass the JEE Main exam. Students can appear for JEE Main in two sessions, this allows students to improve their scores and take the April session exam if Jan one is missed.
After the entrance test result declaration, candidates have to go through the JoSAA counselling for the seat allotment process.
Thus, to apply for admission to BTech branches in IIT Delhi, eligible students need to apply for JEE Main. Moreover, the institute also offers dual degree courses (BTech & MTech) in three specialisations.
The centralised counselling process for all the IITs is managed and regulated by the JoSAA, based on which seat allotment is carried out for all the JEE Advanced-qualified candidates. The seat allotment is based on the IITD BTech cut-off and a candidate's preference for specialisations.

IIT Delhi Placements 2025 reached a placement rate of 61% as per media reports. More than 40 international offers were made to UG students from reputed companies across multiple regions, including the Netherlands, Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, the UK, the UAE and the USA have been received by UG students during the IIT Delhi placement 2025. Apart from this, more than 50 international offers (including PPOs) were received from around 20 international companies during Phase-I in 2024.
The most sought-after roles in IIT Delhi placements include Software Development Engineer (SDE), System Engineer and ML (Machine Learning) Engineer. Besides, roles from the Financial and Management sectors were also in demand this year.
