NSAT 2026 Counselling for admission to BTech, BBA, BA LLB, BBA LLB courses at NIU will be held in the month of July (tentative) for candidates qualifying the entrance exam. The counselling process is conducted for selection of candidates for admission to the UG courses. It includes group discussion and personal interview. Registration process for NSAT 2026 will start soon.

NSAT 2026 counselling schedule for each course will be communicated to selected students. They have to be present in person for Counselling. In case of absence, the seat will be allotted to the next deserving candidate. Here’s the list of document you must carry for NSAT Counselling:

Q: Is NSAT mandatory for admission to NIU?

No, NSAT or NIU Scholarship cum Admission Test is not mandatory for NIU admission. The institute also accepts CUET for technical programmes. If a candidate has CUET score they can directly seek admission to NIU through counselling. However, if a candidate wishes to appear for NSAT and use its score for admission, they are allowed to do so.

Q: What is NIU admission process through NSAT?

NIU admission process through NSAT includes shortlisting of candidates for counselling, conduct of counselling round and final selection. Candidates who meet NSAT cut off or CUET cut off, are shortlisted for admission and a provisional merit list is released. Selected candidates are then required to reserve seat by paying 50 percent of the semester fee. The remaining fee is to be paid within a month to confirm admission.
