IIT Madras recently announced its first major changes to the GATE syllabus 2027 in five years. If you are preparing for the upcoming GATE exam, here is a complete breakdown of the latest GATE 2027 syllabus changes.
- New Robotics Paper: The biggest update is the introduction of brand-new paper, which is Robotics and Automation (RA) paper. This brings to a total of GATE subjects to 30.
- Computer Science and Information Technology (CSE): The GATE CSE syllabus now features an expanded section in AI, Data Analytics and Machine Learning. - Textile Engineering (TF): This paper has been converted into a sectional paper under Engineerig Sciences (XE)

- Civil Engineering: The GATE 2027 CE syllabus now focuses towards Green Construction and Sustainable Engineering practices.

Yes, the GATE General Aptitude syllabus is common for all branch papers in GATE. Candidates must check the GATE syllabus PDF carefully before starting their preparation. The GATE GA syllabus includes the following -
