IIT Delhi Launches Advanced Certificate Program to Equip Students with Generative AI Skills

IIT Delhi has launched a six-month Certificate Programme in Generative AI to equip professionals with advanced AI skills, addressing India's AI talent gap and promoting industry leadership.
The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) has launched a six-month Certificate Programme in Generative AI under its Continuing Education Programme (CEP). This advanced course aims to equip professionals with specialized AI skills, addressing India’s growing AI talent gap and driving innovation and leadership in the tech industry.
About Certificate Programme in Generative AI
The Certificate Programme in Generative AI provides an in-depth exploration of advanced AI techniques, focusing on Large Language Models (LLMs) such as GPT, BERT, and T5. Participants will delve into cutting-edge topics like Reinforcement Learning with Human Feedback (RLHF), Vision-Language Models (VLMs), and responsible AI deployment. The curriculum includes six specialized modules: Mathematical Foundations for ML, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Generative AI for Text, Generative AI for Vision, and Responsible AI.
The programme will be delivered through live online interactive sessions in a Direct-to-Device (D2D) format, incorporating industry-relevant case studies, simulations, projects, and assignments. Participants will also enjoy an exclusive one-day campus immersion at IIT Delhi, offering firsthand exposure to the institution’s renowned academic and research excellence.
Participants will gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge tools like Python, NumPy, Pandas, PyTorch, and TensorFlow, while mastering NLP tools such as NLTK and spaCy for efficient data processing. Graduates of this program will be well-equipped for in-demand roles such as AI Research Scientist, Machine Learning Engineer, Data Scientist with Generative AI expertise, NLP Engineer/Scientist, and Generative AI Specialist. The applications of Generative AI span industries like healthcare, finance, education, and autonomous systems, where AI-driven innovations are set to create numerous opportunities.
