CMAT 2026 application form was released on October 17 along with exam notification. Earlier the CMAT 2026 application submission deadline was November 17, but NTA extended it by a week. This year, there is no change in CMAT. Any candidate who has completed graduation is eligible to apply for CMAT 2026. CMAT Form Correction 2026: How to Edit Already Submitted Form?
Candidates can edit their CMAT forms (if required) by logging into their NTA-CMAT 2026 account. Form correction is a one-time activity thus candidates must edit their forms with care. Here are the steps to follow:
- Open the CMAT-NTA website
- Click on ‘Form Correction for CMAT 2026’ tab
- Enter application number, password and security pin
- Click on 'edit application form'
- Upload new documents or make changes as required
- Click on 'submit' to complete the process

CMAT registration process 2026 includes the following five steps –

Online Registration for CMAT 2026
- Open the CMAT-NTA website: cmat.nta.nic.in
- Click on ‘click here to login/register’
- The CMAT 2026 registration page will open
- Enter details like name, date of birth, city, email ID, password and mobile phone number
- Enter OTP received on mobile number and click on 'submit'
- A 12-digit application number will be displayed

- Enter CMAT application number and password to log in again
- Enter academic details in the CMAT application form
- Enter other personal details and select test cities
- Check the information filled in the form and edit the fields if required
- Now submit the CMAT 2026 application form

Choosing a Test City for CMAT 2026
- While registering for the CMAT 2026, candidates will be required to select test cities for allotment of exam centre.
- Candidates can choose up to four cities from the list of 124 where they want a CMAT test centre to be allotted
- Candidates must note that once submitted, the test city option cannot be changed in the application form so they must make the selection carefully
- The exam centre and test city will be mentioned on the CMAT admit card
- The CMAT test city allotted to candidates will be final and request for any change will not be entertained
After paying the CMAT application fee, candidate must download the fee acknowledgement page and preserve it as a proof of successful submission.
CMAT Eligibility Criteria 2026
- Any candidate who has a bachelor's degree or equivalent degree from a recognised university can apply for CMAT 2026.
- Final year bachelor’s degree students are also eligible to apply for CMAT exam.
- There is no criteria of minimum score in graduation for CMAT 2026, however the colleges accepting CMAT has a minimum score requirement of 50 per cent (45 per cent for Reserved category candidates)

The next CMAT exam will be held in January 2026. The NTA will start registration for the same in November 2025. The CMAT exam is held for three hours. The exam is sometimes held in a single slot and sometimes in double slot. CMAT 2024 was conducted in two shifts. The first shift was held from 9 am to 12 pm and the second shift was held from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. There is no sectional time limit in CMAT. Candidates have to decide on their own how much time they want to spend on a particular section of the exam. PWD candidates get 20 minutes extra in CMAT. The exam slot allotted to candidates by the exam authorities cannot be changed. Candidates cannot request for change of exam slot or centre. They have to take the exam as per the slot and timings mentioned in their admit card. Thus to avoid getting late for the exam, candidates must reach the exam centre as per the reporting time mentioned in the CMAT admit card.

There is no minimum marks criterion for appearing in CMAT exam. Any candidate who has passed a Bachelor's degree programme from a recognised university can apply. Final year candidates are also eligible to apply for CMAT if they scored passing marks in their first and second year of Bachelor's degree programme.
